If it had a 455, it wasn't numbers matching. '64-'66 GTO's had 389's. '67-'73 GTO's had 400's, and in '70-'73 you could get the 455. '74 had the lousy 350

I'm actually not 100% sure what the GTO had but whatever it was it was a numbers matching drivetrain with a 4 speed. I didn't pay too much attention since I was too much in awe at the 71 TA and 67 firebird haha. All beautiful cars though!

This breaks my heart to see, but I am glad you are getting to make progress on the car you love more. You better own a Mustang in the future!!!

To be honest with you....I LOVE mustangs and F bodies both. I'm completely unbiased and would enjoy either/or. I was considerg an SN95 5.0 as a DD sometime in the future but I'll see what happens. They're tough to find as clean as I'd want one. I will say though that after owning one, I can appreciate the mustang crowd. For the most part from my experience, they're down to earth guys. Sure you get the cocky ******* once in a while, but thats with any type of car. Love the aftermarket support for them too. Too bad I never got to put that to good use with mine!

See now, that's talking bad about family, you bastard! . There are some really good people on that site that I've met personally, and a whole lot of nuts, too.
