I didn't realize this thread was here

I was googling "LS2 avatar" trying to find something new and exciting to put as my forum avatar, and I kept seeing pictures of my car pop up on google, and one of them took me here.

A couple things I could have changed to make the race a little more exciting on my end:

-put the top up, I hear the top being down creates crazy drag
-started out about 5-10 mph faster
-dumped the clutch instead of putting it in gear and keeping the RPM's steady right before we took off

I'm having a nice rear end built for the car right now and it will have 4.10's. The 10 bolt that's in it right now has 3.42's which is another reason the gears were so long. I've got some Mickey Thompson's now so me and Mike might have to do a few dig races this summer and see what's what.

I've seen your brother on TGO, I've PM'd him a few times. He's a real cool guy, and his cars are really nice. I told him if he ever sold the vert that I'm first in line. I hope he gets around to the LS swap, he will really enjoy it. I'd love to some day get the two verts next to each other for a photo shoot.

Yea I know, wishful thinking. He should bring it to Atlanta the last weekend in May for the Fbody Gathering. I'll be there with both of our LS mules. My dad's gonna be trailering his and I'm going to drive mine, if all goes according to plan.

My brother has been talking on and off about getting rid of his T top IROC though. If he doesn't have a LSx engine in the vert by then he would drop his T top engine into the vert and put the stocker out of the vert into his car then sell it. Would be one clean *** '87 IROC for someone!

He really wants a C6 Z06, but doesnt have the garage space for one more toy.

What kind of rolls do you prefer? For me, they gotta be Danish.

I think the top being up would definitely be in your favor and the faster start speed seems to be a good idea because that was a long gear. I've only seen a guy do the clutch dump thing from a roll one time, but it really seemed to make a difference. It was a 350Z and he jumped out on me hard by doing that. Can't be good for parts though, haha.

Yup, posted this after the FAST cruise a long time ago. I definitely would like to see the rematch vs Mike. Now your rear won't go sideways when you launch.

I shouldn't have any issues with breaking parts after I swap out the rear end. The rear will be real strong, plus I've got new rod ended Spohn lca's I'm installing and I already have a nice panhard bar and heavy duty Spohn torque arm with cross member mount relocation.
