Last I checked, with the annoying *** dealer markup the SRT8 Challenger's were going for $50-$55k and the SRT8 Chargers were $45k. Thats alot of dough for mid to low 13's in the sub-110mph range.
The 16yr old LT1.

DId you ever look at the prices of a First Gen CTS-V(04-07)? If not sticker was $52,000. Thats for a high 12/low 13 second sub 110 mph car haha. JUst pointing that out.

Forget the new car crap! Sell the le2 stuff and go turbo!
I would tell u to keep it but I bet the heads are milled and built for NA.
I'm goin turbo on my Imp right now.
Hopefully I"ll be goin low 12's very soon in a stock cam daily driver.

Thanks guys ya i would definetly like to stay around 500 or so a month, and Ya definetly a CTS V would be sweet and they aren't that bad on the price tag, and as far as a mustang, if I would get one it would have to be the 03-04 TERMINATOR cobra, definetly a better bang for the buck than the new 5.0. But they are nice And of course a 01-02 FBODY. I even like the GTO's

the new 5th gen camaro is a heavy dog. C5 would be your best bang for the buck, that or a 4th gen f-body

good race though. sounds like you have a pretty sweet impala ss

I don't think they don't pick up over 100rwhp on a cam only and the timeslips sure don't support it either.

SRT-8 413whp/432wtq 12.71 @ 111mph

where did you get that at O.o i have a friend with a 09 srt8 challenger who has a programmer and intake/exhaust and his best was 12.73 at 109 and this was like 30 degree weather with a 1.93 60 foot

haha I think he meant "Every bolton + a good sized cam and ported intake". That being the case, then he is correct and there are hundreds of LS3 owners (vette, camaro, and G8 GXP) who can attest to those numbers. Plus quite a few that are making more than 500rwhp.

Too bad you're right about there timeslips. You gotta put very well planned out $$$ into the rear suspension + really good tires to get them '10 SS's to hook. Hell, I'd put my money on a 500rwhp + drag radial SRT8 beating a 500rwhp + drag radial lighter Camaro SS at a drag strip if the SS has stock suspension.

My first guess is his is a manual 6speed? They are slower. I ran a similar time as your friend with the canned tune in 75+ degree weather at Infineon/Sears Point.

2nd he had a canned tune vs. a dyno tune? Probably heat soaked (as in coolant temp well over 190 degrees, maybe 200+ for him).

A dyno tuned auto in those conditions would run 12.6s @ 114mph.
