Yep Snake95... and I think they are moving that direction or have something in the works to counter the LS9/LSA setups.
The new raptor engine is very nice from what I hear... and the 5.4 GT motor is no slouch either.

Yeah, Its a constant battle between GM and Ford... been going on long before I was born and I hope it continues. The technology has come so far and its truly mind boggling sometimes to see what it brings.
I hope they dont move to electric sports cars anytime soon...

I am not sure about GM going to modular motors yet, I have no doubt they are probably playing with the idea and designing prototypes to see what they can do. I just know GM tend to keep it simple and modular motors arent really simple. I think in due time we will see a nasty GM modular motor... but for now I think they will stick to their normal designs. All speculation of course...

I see lots of misinformed posts here.
Mach 1 compression is 10.1:1 as well.
http://www.mach1registry.com/Specs/Specs.htm
Some of you people act like the ls1 is so much better than the N/A 32v cars. I have never seen a race between the two that wasnt close. Unless you are talking lots of mods vs little mods.
When a 3v mustang beats and ls1 car you cry driver error on the ls1 part. which odds are it is.
but when an ls1 beats a 5.0 you say the 5.0 is hype? really? call it fair both ways.
Good job Mike!

hurricane 6.2 motors will have 3v and 4v heads in the future. from 5.8 liter to 7 liters.
i dont think it needs 4v. stock heads are not bad. when ported.
