Like the title says, Dont ya just love running into the local speed racer you see always cutting between lanes, always making turns like he is on an auto-x, jumps from red-lights like he is at a drag-strip and basically drives like he has the hottest ride in town? (Not exaggerating when I say I have seen this car at least 8x in the past year doing just as I stated each time I saw him)

Well, guess who pulled next to me in the "cut-off" lane (a lil more than 1/4 mile before HE runs outta real estate)

I tell my wife to hold to to her coffee, give her a little background on why im about to ruin his day (always see him flying around town and I finally get my chance, bla bla bla) She nods and grips her dunkin donuts like its her 1st born. She laughs and says, "are you gona make him cry?"

As usual, I assume he has no idea what he is in for.


Him: mods unknown pre 2008 GT (my guess is 2005/6)
Pretty tasteful exterior stuff. Nice rims, lowered, tint on wondows and tails, etc....pretty nice lookin gray GT (no passenger)

Me: GMS1 Cobalt SS with 1 passenger


I did NOT use the launch control and I regret that decision. Not sure why I zoned on this one but I coulda used it as I spun thru 1st. He jumped a whole car on green and I give him kudos for not being a jackass and cutting me off. He had the room to jump immediately over since he pulled a car but I assume he either saw me start to pull HARD when I got traction or he just knows proper etiquette. By top of 2nd I am next to him and by 3rd I am puling a car ahead. By the time I need 4th, he has more then enough room to pull behind me

This obviously upset him as he proceeded to jump back over into the other lane and proceed to do the obligatory fly by


Since he is local, if he happens to go searching for why a lil red slobalt pulled him. I am ready for a rematch since he knew how to fairly run them.
But next time, im using L/C and we need to do a roll as well

track is ok for RWD but im on 235/18 contis

that 13.7 run was with a 2.3 sixty....

Yep...I feel ya on the speedracer thing...There's a turbo Civic hatch that runs around here. Flat black with lime green wheels....fire extinguisher mounted on a-pillars and monster tach of course. He got behind me on a 2-lane and I could hear the pop-off as he was revving like crazy behind me. Finally about 2 miles later we made it to the turn for the 4 lane. I waited for both lanes to clear and I pulled into the left and was waiting for him to pull out, he nails it from the start and got about a 3 car jump on me. I was still rolling..about 10mph in 1st.....I double clutched the V and pulled past him before I even shifted to 2nd....Ran it out to the top of the hill to about 100 or so...Slowed down and was wanting to make another, or at least a decent run. He blows by me @ about 120 cutting in and out of traffic. I finally caught up and got next to him in town and with his FOX racing flat bill hat sideways, he wouldn't even look at me. I slowly rolled out in 1st and he hits it about the time I turn my blinker on and flipped me off.... I guess he got himself a "KILL" on a LS Caddy. To beat it all, he went by today while I was standing outside wiping my car down and banged the Civic off the rev limiter. I guess I should've been shaking....All I know is that I'll be at the track that's about 5 miles away tomorrow night, hopefully he will as well.

I believe '05 up are the ones that had the really big "GT" on the fenders- it's how I used to tell the differences after they came out. Either way good kill. Too bad he didnt learn his lesson... they never do until the police take away there license for too many/big tickets. Then they can brag about how badass they drove 'before I lost my license'.

Nice kill man. Doesn't it seem like the mustangs in our area tend to do more of the douching around? I've seen a couple fbody douchers, but lots more mustangs unfortunatly. My GF used to have a black 07 gt.

The import crowd has the lion's share of douche bags giving the rest of us a bad name.

There's a local toolbag, probably 18-20 years old, driving a volvo with a cat-back, who likes to demonstrate how much awesome power his family-mobile has in downtown areas with lots of pedestrians. I've seen this guy do 80+mph on a 20mph road with pedestrians on both sides and no sidewalks, literally 4 feet from people. He's a catastrophic accident waiting to happen.

Ive never seen him when i'm driving, only when i've been on foot.

The last time i was walking and heard his car come speeding down the road i snatched up a rock but i was too late to nail his car with it. At the risk of sounding like an E-thug, I would love to get this kid out of his car...

Dude, can you imagine how embarrassed I am at the track that I trap 114mph and am running solid 13.2's? Snake_95 was pulling flat 13's and trapping 106 wasn't he? That's awesome that you reeled him back in after falling behind a car. And kudos to the wife for not spilling the coffee
