There are very few turbo upgrades available. You cant really get turbos over 55lbs/min for it, which is fine because the DI system cant fuel more than 500whp.

I knew they woke up pretty good for having a tune. Seems like high 12's isn't that great though with 350-360 rwhp. Are they heavy? My stang was a boat and I'm sure if I had tires I could get a low 13 with only 285 rwhp. Def good looking cars though. Liked them ever since they came out.
Dont take this the wrong way, but his car stock is a touch faster than your stang. With a tune he'd jog away, and high 12s is just the tip of the iceberg with tuned 135/335/535s. With a decent driver/tire low 12s is no issue.

To a point. 400whp comes easy, after that it gets VERY difficult. 500whp has been done, but its not an easy task.

^the interesting thing is that there is now a company (ar design) that is now coming out with a single turbo conversion. So far it's putting down 480ish whp on 91 octane with no supporting mods and no meth. Just the conversion. In time there will be some awesome single turbos out there, but fueling will reach a limit and clearance has always been an issue.

Just ran into the owner's bf today. I asked him if it was stock and he said it wasn't and had a "juice box"? He said it adds 70hp or w/e. Anyone know what this is?

It's a piggy back tune. It can be used with several maps, so power output can vary widely.

Without knowing which version of JB and which map, there's no way to give details.

he said juice box, I said say what?, he said its a program or something, I think he said jb(number number number) and it added 70 or 75. Is there one that adds 70ish raw wheel power? He said mommy and daddy got it for her. Oh and it was a 335is? I think that's what he said. Or 335si?

Either JB3 or JB4, but each can be used with a host of maps.

They usually add about 70whp on a stock car. The 335is is made to fill the gap between the 335i and the M3, but it does a poor job IMO.

It's only a bit more power than the 335i (15hp i think) along with stiffer suspension and an extra 10K on the price tag. I'd take a lot of cars over that one for 50K.

With a decent driver, faster than your mach 1.

Should be about M3 fast in a straight line, low-mid 12s at 112-115 or so, i would guess.

That said, i've seen JB N54 (the engine) cars run some very poor times at the track. I saw a 135i on one of the most aggressive maps with bolt-ons burning straight race gas and only trapping about 111. It was 3000DA, but still. Turbo cars were only down about 2mph that night.

Doubt she was a bad driver but we will just say she was and you're right on all counts.

Never, a bmw with twin turbo's could never be beat!!!!

Well, it sure as hell can be, just thought that it was a relatively stock 335i from the OP so figured it would be different with a tune. Not all juice boxes are the same. There are quite a few from a basic JB+, to a JB3 or JB4. Then you get into other tunes such as flash based like the Cobb. All give decent performance bump, but the best(outa the ones i mentioned) is the JB4 or Cobb ATM.

BTW, good kill on a tuned 335i. They can be nice little sleepers with a couple mods.

If she was shifiting with the paddles then she wasnt playing with a clutch pedal she just has the dual clutch technology in that trans, still considered an automatic, I am actually drawing a blank if the turbos can be unbolted from the manifolds. Last n54 motor i did we left the exhaust attached to the head so we didnt have to run all the plumbing.
