Im hoping youre being sarcastic and I just missed it. I know ls1's are pretty tough, but I dont see any factory LS1 standing up to a 300 shot. Im thinking it would explode into a glorious fireball of aluminum and composite.

Good race!
The nitrous kit is one of the best mods I've done to my Z28. Filling the bottle is only a pain if you're one of those people that eats all your candy by 9:00 A.M. on Easter morning

Some guys just like toying with others. I do it all the time on my bike.
Do one or two 6th gear pulls or just stay even with them before starting in second and blowing them away
.
Good kill, the close ones are the most fun.

Those S197's can run hard with some juice. I've seen them hit low 12's on just a 100 shot and a few bolt ons. And you don't put cams in an S197. You give it a bottle or some forced induction. Anybody that tries to build a 4.6 3 valve all motor is in for serious dissapointment.

On the whole nitrous-is-cheating thing: I used to think that way. Only because it was seen as a cheap way to win- and since the car is only that fast when the nitrous is filled, armed, purged, heated, etc. I used to look at it just like if someone said "I'll race you after I put my big n little drag tires on, put the race gas in, and flip over to my race tune".
Then after a few years of modding/racing under my belt I've changed my opinion. "Run what you brung". Period.
