For real! I think lemons always knows when I am kidding, but it is entertaining to watch other people get higher blood pressure.

Im hoping youre being sarcastic and I just missed it. I know ls1's are pretty tough, but I dont see any factory LS1 standing up to a 300 shot. Im thinking it would explode into a glorious fireball of aluminum and composite.

Nope, he has been running it that way for 21,000 miles now. Says he refills the bottle every 3 weeks...

Maybe if you would have had a small shot, your big bad V8 could have ran faster than my Evo when it was bone stock.

Good race!

The nitrous kit is one of the best mods I've done to my Z28. Filling the bottle is only a pain if you're one of those people that eats all your candy by 9:00 A.M. on Easter morning

Those S197's can run hard with some juice. I've seen them hit low 12's on just a 100 shot and a few bolt ons. And you don't put cams in an S197. You give it a bottle or some forced induction. Anybody that tries to build a 4.6 3 valve all motor is in for serious dissapointment.

Some guys just like toying with others. I do it all the time on my bike.

Do one or two 6th gear pulls or just stay even with them before starting in second and blowing them away .

Good kill, the close ones are the most fun.

Yes they do.

If I had a bottle, I'm sure I'd go through at least 1 or 2 in the first few weeks. Might be able to control my enthusiasm after I get tired of filling them.

It would last a while.. it would be at about 600whp.. abiut the limits of a stock block. He tq is what would kill it though.. whether is it h/c small shot or stock with big **** it would die just as quick.

Haha! I was expecting more people to give me **** for mentioning "my cousin's car" instead of a car I have...but the nitrous bashing pretty much stopped everyone dead in their tracks.

Over 120mph? Not at a west coast track. My one single run at the track before the posi completely gave up the ghost was a 1.8 60' 12.11 @ 114.5mph with a 800' DA. I know it'll do 11's, but my guesstimate is that it would only do 11.8-11.9 @ 115-116 at best. My Phoenix Performance converter is holding me back I believe- I only dyno'd 365rwtq/420rwhp after 6 tuning pulls... EVERYONE was shocked it was so low on torque. However, I got a Yank SS3600 sitting in my garage awaiting install and a new dyno tune in the next couple weeks.

Guy was totally cool about it: I admit that it was ME being the arrogant tool assuming that I could easily destroy him at will. Honestly, I had to chastice myself afterwards for allowing myself to get so cocky.

On the whole nitrous-is-cheating thing: I used to think that way. Only because it was seen as a cheap way to win- and since the car is only that fast when the nitrous is filled, armed, purged, heated, etc. I used to look at it just like if someone said "I'll race you after I put my big n little drag tires on, put the race gas in, and flip over to my race tune".

Then after a few years of modding/racing under my belt I've changed my opinion. "Run what you brung". Period.
