Haha, sounds like me and my friends. When your 16 and no job gas is hard to come by. Especially when we're paying 3 dollars a gallon.

Wow I came in late to this one. Ill say this about LT1s. Most of my friends are LS owners and will never go back. They tried convincing me while my car was down to do an LS swap. And I'm glad I didn't. This was my first attempt at a build and I think I did very well. The only dyno I have of my car so far is up to 5K with a less than ideal y pipe, 300 miles on the build and running heavy engine/rear end oil and Im at 318/330 unlocked. Everyone of them found a new respect for LT1s after I beat our groups most powerful car, a cam only WS6 making 403/389. People forget that if you build LT1s right that they can be fast. But more often than not guys will under or overcam their setup, pick a stall way below what they should have, run ridiculous gearing etc.
