2010 Camaro SS vs. 1995 Mustang 5.SLOW
#121
Keep all your **** starting in another thread. I never got a great launch, 60 was only 1.82, my first time ever at the track with the setup. Get my 60 down and I'm sure I'd crack off a 12. Man I must be a terrible driver to not run to my car's full potential my first time at the track. Buncha John Force's around here. Oh wait, aren't you the one who ran a 12.81 in a BONE STOCK street tire T/A? Yeah...okay. The car is my daily driver with a baby cam...that and intake are holding me back big time, which is a stock ported intake.

A bolt on LS1 beating a stock 4.6L Mustang. WOW! Who woulda guessed? Your car is still slow.

Wow...well I guess it's nice to know that I have a new fan club.
Where did I ever say that my car was fast? Just that it's way faster than a stock 3v mustang.
Again, what does a full bolt-on 3V have to do with ANYTHING that I've ever said? I'm curious to know this. If you guys feel you need to compensate for a race that i had with a STOCK 3v mustang, that's pretty sad. You are all more than welcome to come race me with whatever you want.
You already did that for me.
Haha I thought only children resorted to name calling?
Again, where did I say it was fast. Thanks John Madden for stating the obvious once again.
I'snt there a cavalier that is a Z-24? Too bad there not all stock and you are. It dont matter if your car is 10 yrs old, and that it is still faster than any stock GT and can beat a new (not the 2011's, and only 2010 and below non-Cobra/GT500) Mustang, whoopdidoo. Fact is this is streets and its run what-ya-brung, and one day when your STOCK Camaro "rolls up" on a full bolt-on 3V then your gonna be.... well...
OP nice kill on a slower car than yours, or should i say not as fast as yours? Which ever makes everyone happy.

I can attest from personal experience that the new camaro is 1 13.0 second car with a good driver in stock form. With a dyno tune and headers, I'd say the new camaro could runa 12.8@110 or so. I raced one at the dragstrip right after I got my mailorder tune for my cc503 cam and I beat it, but barely. We were trapping nearly the same mph 109-110. Although, his camaro was dyno tuned with intake and headers. Supposedly he was putting down over 400whp. They are heavy as hell and hard to launch with street tires and a 6spd. I imagine if I got my car dyno tuned I could trap closer to 115, and easily break 12's even with a shi**y 60ft.
The camaro guy told me he gained quite a bit of power with the dyno tune. Although his car sounded like crap with headers and stilll stock cats and mufflers. it sounded really tinny. Honestly, I hate the new camaro. It's a big boat to me. thumbs up for the mustang. Considering the 5.0 is a high 14 low 15 second car in stock trim, that's impressive that you were able to beat a new SS. Congrats to ya!

Me too.
You're right about that. Too bad he didn't stoop down to that (your) level. He just called it like it is.
The 5th gens are two seperate beasts. The LS3 cars are good for high to mid 12s stock, while the autos are slightly slower (half a second or less). With a tune, the L99 (auto) cars wake up A TON. The LS3 cars respond just like any other LSx car to a tune.
When the **** did I start liking Ju1ce? And when did he get funny?

And Ju1ce, I keed, I keed - I joke with you
L99 Camaro SS's disappoint me - Small kill story following. However, they are whole different beasts with tunes and transmission tunes is what I've seen from personal experience. I drove a buddy's 2010 SS L99 when it was stock and after he had it tuned and the tranny tuned (why without mods, idk), but it was a completely different car IMO

Dude calm down. I wasnt trying to say anything bad about you or anything just that I'd be pissed if I was in your shoes. Case in point I had an 02 SS that had headers and a baby cam in it. I knew a guy who claimed to be able to do good head work so I let him have my car for a few days and he took my heads off and ported them. I get it back and take it to the track to run a 13.1 @ 110 mph. I was ******* pissed!!!

Dude im asking you a question rather than respond to me you take his bait. I like those sn95's alot. Like i said in another thread I have one I've had since 99 its s 95 5.0 with a p600 procharger. Is your car a cobra? What exactly is done to it. And by the way, first time to the track sucks, if you got better at the track and get your 60ft down that car will hit 12's easily. For a first time drag, doesn't sound too bad. there are a ton of John Force's in here thats halarious. Everyone seems insecure and in need to talk smack about other people's cars, but thats ok, let em... dont take their bait
