No. If anything the cobra driver was probably a better driver than the LS1 driver. What I'm trying to say is that a basic bolt-on cobra will not run away from a cammed LS1, like what was said earlier.

No, in the 03/04 Cobra world if you say your 03/04 Cobra has bolt ons then it doesn't mean you are pullied. If you say you are pullied then you are pullied.

And you aren't saying that you only witnessed a heavy vert with a bad setup get pulled by a cammed LS1?

Just want to clear up if you are saying you witnessed a pullied Cobra lose to a cammed LS1 or if you are saying a cammed LS1 will not get pulled by a pullied Cobra in general.

Never said it couldn't happen. Just saying that I seen a cammed LS1 pull a pullied AND bolt-on vert cobra. I also seen a 470 rwhp cobra barely beat a bone stock C6 vette (not ZO6). That cobra was not a vert.

It all depends on the pulley size and how well each car runs for what it has.. when I was cam only I pulled a pullied/tuned 04 cobra coupe 3 times in a row. I didn't rape him at all but I won about a car each time. He had 446/456 I believe with stock everything except the pulley and tune. Those cars are insane what what little mods you can do and how fast they are. It definitely takes a good combo in a cammed ls1 to beat a pullied/tuned cobra no doubt about it.

Ok you said stock,my bad,the one cobra I raced was pretty close out of a best of 3 ,was a pullied,bolt on 03,40 roll,he edged me out by a fender,he got the jump ,I didn't hear the 3rd honk,race 2 20 mph roll he spun a lil I hooked I won,race 3 from a dig won by a car at least,now this was the only one I have ever raced ,a few things I thought of,I think he was on street tires,and I know for sure I was the better driver by far,but imho I feel if he had better traction,and was a lil better at running out the gears I know he would have toasted me,I have a 99ss m6 ms4 cam,

What you have seen doesnt mean anything because the average pullied cobra will absolutely stomp a bolt on f body plain and simple. And depending on the pulley size will be a good run with a cam or h/c f-body. Do you honestly still think your car will be dead even with a 03/04 cobra?

maybe if the terminator had the top down, was full of fat dudes and started off in the wrong gear...

i have an auto ls1 and at the time with just bolt-ons, i pulled on a terminator (not sure of mods) once, but it was short lived. he started regaining ground until we had to slow for traffic.

Just like I originally stated...I could run with with a bolt-on pullied Cobra for a certain time or mph especially with my gears and other bolt-ons...however once the speeds start increasing, my only advantage of my gears run out and the Cobra just keeps pulling. They really start to shine above 115 mph. At this point I already blew my load. Had it happen to me and there was nothing I could do...kinda of an "oh ****" feeling if anyone can relate. The Cobra's rate of acceleration was greater than mine at these speeds and it just starts to walk away.
