black 03-04 Cobra death!

black 03-04 Cobra death! witnessed a black 03-04 Cobra with exhaust(at least) try and jump on a silver WS6( with just bolt ons)in mexico and get beat! maybe by 2-3 cars? I was suprised considering the WS6 is an auto and the supercharged Cobras are hell from a roll!

Possible...especially on the street..
Just remember though, you are talking about a supercharge car vs an N/A car. Not saying that the Bird was slow..just saying that they are in different classes. If the Bird did pull on the Cobra, he must have at least H/C setup. If the Cobra was stock than possible a cam-only would suffice. I am just saying that FI cars are hard to beat without some good mods.
Seen it first hand..they pull like crazy as the speeds increase..

Have you ever ran any Cobras? Even stock they trap 110 to 113. A pullied Termi with a tune is trapping close to 120. Are you sure about what you said?

Yes I am positive. This particular 03 cobra is a vert that weighs close to 4,000 lbs. They are heavy pigs. I've also seen a 470 rwhp cobra barely pull 1 car on a 100% stock C6 Vette.

I've got lots of respect for cobras but I trap 112 with bolt ons and crap for 60ft. With just bolt ons, and my suspension is setup for road course not drag racing....

If you were to add more bolt-on you will only add a 1 or 2 mph (if lucky) to your trap. With a pulley swap they can add 4 or 5 mph.

You are talking bout a vert.. A 03-04 Cobra only weighs in at 3650 to 3700lbs. A vert is about 3850lbs. Regardless, a pullied vert is still going to pull away from a cam-only LS1.

No it won't. I witnessed a pullied and dyno tuned cobra lose to a cam only LS1 with my own eyes. The cobra also has has other little mods like intake and x pipe. This cobra ran a 12.4 @ 113-114.

I think you are missing the point like always. What you seem to be saying (and please correct me if I am wrong) is that a cammed LS1 will always or atleast most of the time beat a pullied/tuned 03-04 Cobra. What is trying to be said is you might have witnessed that but he beat the driver and it would not happen 9.8 times out of 10.
