408 vs CBR600RR

Eh, I like being able to say "Bone stock" when the guy who just got smoked asked what's done to it and is trying to figure out how he just got a beat by a 600 when all his friends supposedly romp on them all day long.
Also, I want that bone stock 10-second timeslip. Only been to the track once so far with it and had only been riding altogether for four months so I'm hoping to drop a couple tenths off the 11.1 I mustered my first time out now that I've had more seat time. Gotta wait for warmer weather, though. The DA also wasn't helping out that day so just better weather alone might do wonders for me.

As far as the launch goes, I'm workin on it. 1.8's with no strapping/lowering/mods on my first and only day at the track means potential to go faster with more seat time. To me, the whole fun of the track is practicing, learning, and improving, not just getting a fast timeslip.
Who knows, my bone stock 10.9 may never happen, but I'll definitely have a blast trying. And I personally think I'm more than capable of making it happen at the right track on the right day with more seat time.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the clutch. My brother is the parts manager at a powersports shop (Suzuki dealer) which means cheap parts, especially when compared to the prices I was spending on clutches for the Z28.... And he's good friends with the mechanics that do all the work on the bikes there, so they already said they'd just come over and show me how to do the swap myself when I'm ready.

My last outting got a 1.6 60' 6.5 1/8 and 10.0 1/4. I know 9's are there just gotta get back out there.

Tried but never could keep the front end down on the launch. I think it ran a 12.0 in 1/4 and a 7.5 in the 1/8. With the front coming up on me right out of the hole. Had to let off throttle and get back into it. I'll usually ride a wheelie out but it shot way to high up. Really needed a strap to tame it.

Sick... I was thinking about doing an S-model front clip and chin fairing, and wanted a carbon fiber Yoshi tri-oval. But it stayed stock the whole time I had it

Yep very fun bike, also the color was off a 1996 viper GTS. When I got it it was fluorescent orange and faded lol. My dad paints, so had to get it done.
Only thing bad about the SV650 is after about 80 or 90mph it's pretty much done. Mine topped out at 143 I think and that was a looong stretch.

Got mine up to an indicated 125mph after a pretty long stretch... tucked behind that little speedometer . Felt like it might have done 130mph or a bit more if I had a little longer.

Ya yours being totally naked was much worse lol. Atleast mine had the front fairing which looks like it helped out compared to the naked version. Also the pipe made a nice seat of the pants feel to it to. It was a fun bike, but I would still take my fz1 over the sv everyday of the week.

I'd like to ride an SV1000... still not gonna be as brutal up top as a 1000cc 4cyl bike, but I can only imagine what it would be like in 1st and 2nd gear. Oh, and I'm sure my massive stock rear fender didn't help my high-speed endeavors
