First run against new GT
First off let me say this a great site. Been lurking here for about 4 or five years now mostly for technical stuff and lots of helpful info here. Anyway I ran my first '11 GT today, the owner says he is a member on here so I figured i'd chime in. Not much to the story really. I saw him weaving in and out of traffic looking as if he was trying to catch up to me before the light. Me being the stand up guy I am I slowed down and let him get next to. He threw a rev at me, I threw one back and game on. On the green we both left about the same time and stayed beside eachother until I began to pull. By the end of the race I had about 2.5 cars on him. We rolled through the next light and he coasted up beside me. When I gave him the look he floored it. I started in 2nd and by the end of a long stretch I had him by what looked like 3 cars. After the run I followed him into the Arco to ask him his mods. Mods were CAI, Headers, X-pipe, tune, & Dr's. The car came stock with 3.73s and opt. brakes. He said he trapped a best of 116 in the 1/4. The Grabber Blue looks awesome. Cool guy. If you see this thread please chime in. Wanting to get a rematch on video.
Nice whoopage! There is a couple 5.0 guys on here always harping in whenever a 5.0 goes down about how they want to race a "similiar" Fbody to show how they would lose against a "real driver". lol
BTW: 11.5 @ 119 has to take alot more than boltons/cam. ??? Would say lots of weight loss, but with 425/409 I'm guessing ported 243 heads and a mid sized cam? Maybe a FAST?

Thanks for props guys!
The motor has bone-stock, untouched 241 castings. That is 426 to the tire on a 248c dynojet. Stock LS6 intake. This cam is a 240/244 .608/596 112 and makes huge power on stock heads. There has been as high as 440 done with this cam, of course dynos vary tho.
The car is a hardtop/cloth car with the basic weight removal stuff (spare tire/jack) and brake kit - that's all.

That's a nasty-*** cam!
I dont see why it couldnt. My car does it, with less bolt ons and a wayyy smaller cam. I kno i have a displacement advantage but i would say his weight advantage outweighs my displacement advantage. Good kill! Cant wait to catch me a 5.0 thats willing to play.
Yep, here's another Vindicator Cam-Only car, 3,850lbs - 11.70@120

I always wonder why people go strictly with the MS4 or TRex when going big cam only. The Vindicator always seems to put up great numbers. It would be my cam of choice for a cam only setup....well, if I went off the shelf. x2! The VII is right up there with them if not a tad better.
