My Z28 vs. SVT???(confused)
I was driving down the interstate today (00 z-28,3in exhaust,ls1 edit,K&N, some free mods) and I was only going about 70-75 and I looked out my rearview and I could see a stang(98 or newer) coming up on me. I didn't jump the gun because I didn't know if it was a 6er or a 8. So I just kinda layed back and didn't react really quick because I couldn't see the little ram air thing on the hood as it passed I noticed that it had a indention in the hood, then when I saw the rear end of the car I saw that it said SVT on the back. So I down shifted in to 5th, then 4th, then 3rd and as I got fast so did he. I noticed I very slowly started to gain on him till I missed 4th(don't ask me how) then I fell back a little bit then I started to gain very very slowly on him agian till I had to get off of it to get off of my exit.
I guess what I'm wanting to know is, is this normal for a SVT or is my car just a little slow? A anwser would be nice Please, I'm kinda disapointed right now at my car( but is the first mustang to keep up).

A SVT Cobra, especially the '03 Cobras, are very slow. A '00 Z28 with only exhaust would surely destroy one.
It's hard to tell with 'stangs. So many idiots out there put badges on non SVT cars. IMHO, every SVT vehicle except the '03/'04 Cobra is crap. The L is nice for a truck I guess.

Man yall got to get to reading the o3 cobra came with a supercharger stock running bout low 13's. Now the older models didnt have one but ya dont know what the other guy is running he could have a supercharger in it for all you know or even a motor swap ,and if hes running a charger when he starts boosting ya aint gonna gain on him that much either that or you dont know how to drive.

Either you have hellacious exhaust that is just stupid loud, or you listen to your music stupid loud. Blower whine is truly hard to miss. If you want a good example click on unit's vid under the pics in his sig.
