3258 is much different than 3000 race weight. i would still like an explanation as to why a 408 h/c/i fbody couldn't pull away from a 424hp fbody...

facts are that chevelle is ******* slow for a 540ci, f1 powerglide setup. if you choose to run at a lower potential that doesn't change that your ******* setup is weak.

LOL, you guys are funny. always arguing....here are the facts

My camaro is a 451 on motor, 75 shot 519 on the spray, so what 69 shot?

car weighs 3258lbs before the nitrous kit, add 30lbs, passenger , full tank of gas, 3258 was almost empty, I have a stock 4l60e converter in my trunck, (50lbs) My #5 did not melt, it chipped the ring land usually due to the top ring expanding to much from heat, MY FAULT, I ahould have replaced the stock fuel pump 150 hp ago.

The Chevelle ran very strong, most likely traps 131ish, He is very secretive about his setup, but it is supercharged with a 540 Cu.in. motor, runs a gear venders overdrive, ? gears ? hp ? weigh, but guessing car is 3700, but he had his two kids with him and wife I think.

Bottom line is he saw my car thought he could let me go first and blow past.. wasn't the case, second race he flags it off, if you look close at me shadow in his door you can see my front wheel creeping up to his door/fender seem, as soon as you see my front wheel fall back is when I felt my motor cut out and I was on 7 cylinders, keep watching and my car still creeps back up to his door seem.

The 3258 was with him in it, so it's still damn light. 408 could have been built with an iron block adding weight and it could be a full weight car, so 3600+ with driver wouldn't surprise me. I don't remember if it was a 6 speed, but could have been bad shifting, bad gearing, etc.

Agreed on all accounts, just saying there wasn't anything wrong with it (mechanically).

That camaro shouldn't be in the 130s, and neither should anyone running door to door with him.
Why not? haven't you even seen posts from chrs1313? his car is a heads cam LS1 that runs 10.00 @ 130, off spray, his car is at 3000lbs, so why wouldn't my LS2 heads cam on a 75 hit not trap 130 at minimal...?

Just because your car can't do it doesn't mean it can't be done...

Brad, to be fair he did correct himself in this post:

I'm sure the big block is damn quick on the street, it's just that when you think F1/540/glide you think liter bike slayer, not 130 traps.

it did 2 years ago, i put a wolfe in about a month or two after those runs. not many people can say they pulled a 1.4x 60 foot with no sway bar/anti roll bar and no bags installed what so ever.

Nice, I think my stock mid pipe may be holding me back a bit, it is the factory 2.7/8 in piping. chrs1313 did a flowmaster merge and a 4 inch turndown and gaind almost 30 ft.lbs in the mid range. plus with nitrous a free flowing exhaust may help get the heat out and keep detonation down...I need a few things before I race this guy again, he wants a rematch bad. I'm not doing another neon roll, its digs or nothing next time

Brad, if you opened up that exhaust with a Y and a cutout I bet you'd see an easy 15-20hp with as choked as your exhaust is. You'll definitely have Jill's Cobra from a dig if she shows up again too. Isn't she married to 1badfox?

See if you can get some more details from him next time about his car.

Why are you just running a 75? Why not a 100-125 its just as safe as long as you got a 255 you should be good to go. Your car moves the **** out with that weight reduction just like it should I really don't see how it hard to believe. I guess too many people are stuck in the 12's.
