poor gt500

poor gt500 so a couple days ago is the first time its hit 70 degrees this yr so i figured id take the mullet sled and cruise a bit. on a long stretch of road when a gt500 comes up to me revvin the **** out of it (damn ricer). we happen to catch a light together i asked what he had, stock blower but it had full exhaust, headers and a small cam. we went from the light i peddled it from a dig and was side by side. once i got traction it was all over from there lol. i accually expected the car to have ALOT more cause if i was him i would have been embarassed for an *** beatin like that

Good kill man.. Would you happen to know who runs around murfreesboro in the black gtr? I see him every weekend I'm there. Saw him coming back from Nashville few weeks ago, he passed me doing around 140 if I had to guess. Other time he kicked it from thirty next to me. Sadly, both times I was in the grips jetta. Haha

oh ok maybe he is trying to keep it a sleeper. what kinda cam was it? I know the popular sleeper cam for the GT500 is the Voodoo Mighty Max cam. Was that the one he was running? They actually make pretty good power from what I've seen on GT500s.

Mods? I'd love to set something up when I get my car done. There are a few others that I would like to line up with as well. I know how some of those boys like their rolls.. Hopefully my little stock cube stalled auto will be able to run with them.

Mods? I'd love to set something up when I get my car done. There are a few others that I would like to line up with as well. I know how some of those boys like their rolls.. Hopefully my little stock cube stalled auto will be able to run with them.

Those GT500s are not easy prey.
Love those LSX motors! Lots of power N/A.
On a side note though, like MACH BOY stated, why would the guy with the GT500 go through the trouble of putting cams in his car. Anybody with a DOHC 4-Valve motor knows that it is a PITA to put cams in. He could have made more power just going with a pulley or ported blower and added supporting mods.
Unless he was looking to make major work for himiself or pay some serious labor cost if someone else was going to do it for him.
