Speeding ticket (78 in a 55): $275.00
Destruction of county property (vandalism!): $325.00
Replacement speed tapes: $1375.00
Total: $1975.00 and 5 points
Wow ... I would've fought that .... if they're worried about getting it destroyed maybe they shouldn't put it in the middle of the road where people are going to drive over it then???

This was a few years ago, and my wife is STILL mad!
ROTFL ... that's classic.

They dont use anything around here. Most tickets can be fought and you will win 50% of the time. The cops simply put down an "estimated speed" based on their "training". It sucks big time. Those speed-wire thingies sound like a bitch! Glad they arent around here...

Well from what I have heard, they can be faught relatively sucessfully, since the cop usually cannot visually see you going over the wires ... therefore if there is any traffic around at all, he cannot conclusively prove that it was you who was speeding, and not the person next to, infront of, or behind you (unless it's 3 am and you're the only one on the road, then you're screwed)

I have two years of stories about rich F@#ks here that think because they spent 70k on a car they can beat a Formula. I have to pace myself or I am going to end up writing one big long post telling all of them at once.
Start telling the stories one at a time. We need some entertainment around here. With it being such a cold *** winter there isn't much action going on.
