1st gear only, lid only ls1 vs new 5.0

1st gear only, lid only ls1 vs new 5.0 At the light and a new blue 5.0 pulls up next to us. In the girlfriends lid only '99 TA.
Light turns green and we both caught traction. I bogged the TA pretty bad but it picked right back up and i could tell that he would've pulled us had we had more room to run but in first gear he couldn't pull us back in.
He had to turn right after first and we went strait so we only got first gear, but ill chock it up as a win, we also had 2 people in our car vs. just him in his.
I was pretty surprised.

God was finally displeased with the LS1. So he created the 5.0 to be better, faster, and more responsive to mods than the LS1 could ever dream of. Therefore there is no way that gods OLD motor could beat gods NEW motor.
Only kidding man. Too bad you didn't get a longer run in to see what happened. Thats the beauty of dig races. The better launch does a lot.

Ill give ya a good launch but I can't give ya a good kill ,ya have to break 60 for that,I have killed a new 5.0 and I don't see any bone stock ls1 rolling on the 5.0,wish ya guys would have got a run in,you guys should have talked and went somewhere to get a few runs in,again good launch but those stangs are no easy task for a stocker,I would say you might have a **** storm headed your way lol,take care man,have a safe season

Oh i wouldve loved a longer run but she was dropping me off at work and i was already late.
The thing is i launched horribly, bogged it pretty bad, and i heard him launch well as his was pretty loud next to me. Im surprised he couldnt real me in in that gear alone.
Wish i wouldve lined up with him in my car

Well that's about all the action you can get here in Austin as there isn't a scene at all. i was proud her car did as well as it did given the circumstances.

Me on foot against PSM's Fit from a dig. The race is over when he hit's 25 mph and whoever's in front wins. Also he has to have a passenger to make sure he doesn't cheat, because he's a dirty cheater.
EDIT
I'd probably be better off challenging a faster car since his car has no traction issues and takes so long to accelerate that he'll be going 20 mph and then 21 mph and then 22 mph, etc for so long that I have no chance
