how do you run into to guys and ask them to race??? like what do you do to ask them, honk at them? do a little motion? rev your engine at them?

I usually ask them what year the car is or something to make sure I'm talking to the right person and then ask them to race. If they seem like they might but are hesitant then I sometimes throw a little friendly trash talk in there. If they aren't interested then I respect that and move on.

On the road, I usually just give it a little gas in a gear or 2 lower than cruising speed, but no flyby, just enough to make noise and get in front of them. Slow down, give them a little motion to run and if they are game, well you know the rest.

I'm not usually one to walk up to someone and ask to race. If so, just ask what's done then if they wanna go.

I'll usually just ask them "what's the retail on that thing?" and it will trigger a race 99% of the time

on the street, I act like I'm going to do a fly-by as soon as I'm even hit the brakes hard and match their speed. Sometimes I just pull up to them and match their speed. Second thing I do is down shift to the lowest gear. Third I throw a few revs and one honk, after the honk they normally look. As they are looking I throw up 3 fingers. This were they nod ok, yes or shake their heads no. A lot of times they take off before I throw up the 3 fingers or honk, that's why I down shift to the lowest gear. I like to be ready for their surprises.

At meets I just find the owner and ask him what mods he has. I ask to start a conversion, compliment him on his car then ask if he wants to run them. I don't like jumping straight to the point. Hey is that your car, he says yes, do you want to race.

I normally get 2-3 runs a week doing my normal route, college and girlfriend's. I drive about 40-50 miles a day.

^ same here ,your not the only one that drives around looking for runs lol,on sundays ill go for a drive and try to find someone to have a few runs with,and you can always ask,but have some respect about it,( no one likes a ***** lol) just always be safe !

If I am riding I will shift into a lower gear, with my car its easy to hear when i do, if at a gas station like screamingredz said, you can talk about the car and get a decent idea on if they are game or not, and just ask up, you want to run them? Or you want to show me how fast it is, mine kinda slow but i would like to see... That always works, Like a bait to a fish.

First I get their attention and start licking the steering wheel, top to bottom. Then I slip out of my shirt and tie it to my rear view mirror. I then start blasting smooth Jazz and start the three honks. Without ever breaking eye contact.

Works every time.

But sometimes I just roll up next to them, windows down and throw a rev or two.
