99 SS vs 03 Cobra

99 SS vs 03 Cobra Earlier today around 7:00pm I was driving around always hoping to find a good run. I turn right on a main street and there it was, a black 03 Cobra going the opposite way as me. I notice he has hood latches and I've seen him around a couple times so I get on it a little as I pass him and he was looking right at me. I look in my rear view mirror and see him flip a U-turn and smash on the throttle to catch up.
We get to a stop sign and I asked if he wanted to run. He said "Yeah, lets do it. What are your mods?" I told him bolt ons and he said he was stock.
I wasn't that dumb to believe that. So before we get on the freeway he gets on it a little and I can hear a nice rumble and supercharger whine. Anyway, we get on the freeway and I told him to honk it off. Right off the hit I got about 3/4 to a car length on him... hit 3rd and it was about the same then at the top of 4th he pulled up to my door. I was quite happy with the 1/2 car length win especially finding out he had an intake and exhaust.
We tried to do a 2nd run, but I didn't hear the honks so I won't even explain that part. He was a cool guy and we exchanged #'s. We'll be doing a rematch soon with a video this time.

I have bolt ons with LT'sYeah, I told Ajmir about it and he knows who I'm talking about. He said the guy thinks his Cobra is really fast. Maybe you can show him some fast GM's

Yeah, hopefully we can do it soon. He was a little faster, I could tell. He caught up a little late though I have bolt ons with LT's

Ok, well I'll text him maybe this coming weekend. He said he has some friends with fast cars.

I wanna see that race on the track OP, but I can't make much of it so far. Don't know the mods for either car, etc. You guys get that lined up soon and let us all see so we can find out if it's as close as TORCHD vs that Cobra in the videos.
I see 3 videos, but 2 of them show a win light for the yellow car and 1 for yours. Those were some close races and yours had a better ET, but in a real (non dial in) event, you'd have been sent home twice to his once. I think the N2O must not have been on for the 2nd run, based on the loss of nearly 6mph and 4-5 tenths vs the other two. Congratulations on the better ET's and consistency though.

So I won 2-3.... But in all 3 races had the faster E.T.
Now if only I had a 12 bolt back there would have been a better race (for me)

Those things make it not a Mustang? C'mon... Of course it's a Mustang, even closer than most Cobra models of that yr. Couldn't really tell he got a red light... I think the track lights are hosed though, since it gave the win lights on his side. I did note the -0.11 light and wondered, but the stage lights looked green... I saw the light at the bottom too, but was expecting an actual red and it doesn't look red. Since you labeled all three with nitrous, I mentioned the apparent lack of on the 2nd.
You mentioned the addition of a 12 bolt being helpful for you... I agree. Of course, if he really knew how to drive, that car could've run a 12.4 when factory stock. He could've added more juice too.. so... it could've been better for each of you, with better things involved. Your car seems quite consistent though and for that matter, so is his, just not as close to yours from the looks.
Anyway, back to our actual topic...
