I am having to pace myself with some of my stories but here is another one.

I have worked with a guy on my base for the past two years and never knew that he had a 91 Mustand LX. We finally ran across each other and immediately started checking out each others cars. He had an automatic and just got the conversion kit for An M5. He has LT headers, Edelbroch intakes, EGR spacer and Flowmaster exhaust. We wanted to race and it took a month before we could both leave work at the same time.
He wanted to take it from a roll because he was worried about traction and saw that I had Nittos. We finally got away from work and he brought a friend along to videotape the race from his car.
We pulled out onto Macarthur Cswy( the street in Bad boys II where they killed all the cars and the boat) and hit the crosswalk button so that the traffic would stop, got onto the road and did three honks from a 25 roll.
I started straight out of first and immediately pulled away from him and finally ended up about 6 car lenghts ahead of him by the time I got up to around 100. I let off of it and let him catch up and we headed back to the base.
The video was awesome( I will get it posted here as soon as he gets me a copy of it) and all you saw was my rear end pulling away and a loud roar.
All he kept saying was how we were going to it again when he got some "Jiggle Juice" and kept bitching at me at all the money he was going to have to spend.

The funny part was that when he wanted to race me he wanted to race my buddy in his STI. Said something to the effect of" If I beat you I want to race walt next"" LOL

Actually we just got to do it again today. We left work and he decided that he wanted to do it again from a stop. We left work today at around 1230 and headed out onto the CSWY. Light turned green and we both spun out a little to much and he got the jump on me, about a car length ahead when I stopped spinning. We stayed about even until we got up to around 60-70. Then I started pulling on him and my front bumper was about at his door when he backed off.
We got up to the next light just as it was turning red and both looked at each other and said lets go again. This time I rolled my foot into the accelerator and gave it a second to hook. He didn't, he did the same thing that he did the first time. Only this time I got about a car and half jump on him and he never even got close. I backed off of it when I could see him in my rearview mirror about 3 car lenghts back.LOL
He is definately going to have to go do some more work to his car if he wants to take me, as long as I get a good jump on him.

 

Muhahaha, so you admit I beat you once and then you won when i overspun. I don't need work i need TIRES dangit.

I love giving F-bods crap but they are quick.

 

btw, what speed did we shut down at on the first run, my speedo isn't right with my 4.10's I think we were near the top of 4th which is around 115.

 

Hey all, I met 01BLUFRMLA tonight at a weekly Miami F-bod gathring. Cool dude, nice, clean A4 Formula hardtop. As another guy who was there mentioned, he's got a great base for an all out drag car if he wants to go that route. As is, it's a clean ride.

 

Not to mention his wheels are pretty slick.

 

That's tight that you guys are so cool about the races. I hate it when people trip over getting beat or winning, it's all in genuine fun and should be taken that way.
