Actual horsepower on that day for me. I am unsure if he quoted corrected or uncorrected. I know at the top end his Cobra feels stronger than mine in the seat of the pants on the topside of 5000 rpms. It's flat then seems to hit a power band like an old 2 stroke dirt bike. At 4500 to 6500 at full boost it feels like a 50 shot comes in on top of the motor. Maybe he's squeezing it but I didn't see him arm anything so I assume it was a motor only pass.

Great looking car man, and good kills. I have a huge softspot for C4s, especially the LT4 cars.

Thanks, the LT4 seems to put down some much stronger numbers than the LT1 in stock form. When I was looking for a Vette I passed on one because of the 6 speed. My daily commute requires sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for close to an hour every morning, now I wish I would have taken a little more time making my choice.. The 93 was only 9500.00 so I jumped on it, the original owner was selling it to buy a new C6.

I know the LT1 Corvettes are rated 300 and the LT4's are rated 330, but what do they both put down on a chassis dyno, stock?

The LT1 can be from 265-275(auto to stick). The LT4 is usually 295-305.

My best bet is pedal it the first 60 ft then roll in the WOT and nitrous.
Nice first win with the C4. I have a soft spot in my heart for them too (proud owner of an L98 1989 C4). You car looks very sharp -- still in great shape!

As for the track -- you should be able to pull low 12's with your setup, decent rolling traction and good air. The Dana 36 is definitely a real concern -- I had a modded L98 (which in stock form was considerably underpowered compared to the LT1 C4 Corvettes) and ran into some issues when I paired a sticky tire and well-prepped track with the stock rear.

c4 vettes suck

they bitch and moan and want more money all the damn time. Nice car. love the blue. 700r4 or the D36 will be letting go with DR and a 1.8 or lower 60ft most likely.

^^^its probably just the age man, these cars are getting old. With that being said, my 92 doesn't really ask for much.

Was just jokin. I love my c4. Cant wait to pull it back in the shop. Got quite a bit I want to do to it this next round of mods. Mine is setup to roadrace/autox however.

Mine hasnt asked for anything beyond way to much gas.

Nice lets see some pics The only thing that pisses me off is that when I first bought the car about a year and a half ago, it had no rattles. But now in the crappy roads here it developed a ton of rattles.

I wont post any here. being a TPI (sorta) I am the bottom of the totem pole. I usually keep my posts to c4 guru site.

As for the rattles with how much plastic these cars have it will only get worse. I cant wait to row my own gears on a T56 and destroy my D36 so I can upgrade to a D44 with a 3.73. 3.07s get old quick.

The drivetrain on my 91 high 10 sec capable has withstood 1.6 sixty foots on a stick shift car-you can make them last if you retain the IRS but its not cheap.

I about sold the thing this week. It developed a stumble and pop above 5000 rpms and felt like it was dragging a trailer full of concrete blocks. I decided to change the plugs before tearing the opti apart. What a treat that is!!!! If any GM Corvette engineers are reading this " What the **** were you thinking" Anyway it ended up the sister chip had rattled halfway out of the mother board. Pushed it in and smooth sailing again. I was close to blowing a gasket but all's well now. Still waiting for my buddy and his 03 terminator. Seems he's a little gun shy these days.

You have a D44. They have been proven to withstand 1.55s. The halfshafts become the weak link.

I actually broke mine. I have the following(a harder grabbing clutch would still break it with a sticker tire though)

-3.90 rear gears
-Centerforce dual friction clutch with single mass flywheel
-Custom made steel half shafts from A1
-Cryo treated spice U-joints
-Cryo treated inner stub axles, differential case, posi unit, gears, and clutches

Denny's drivershaft stuff broke for me-A1 driveshaft in Baltimore MD seeems to make good stuff
