Default 99' TransAm vs 11' Challenger R/T

Buddy I work with just got this orange metallic R/T and yeah...it's got a hemi.

Anyway, he gave me a ride in it the other day and it felt pretty darn fast. Lots of torque but seemed to not rev out like an LS1. It also has shorter gearing than my TA. It is an awesome cruiser though and the build quality is outstanding...very comfortable.

So we line em up and go from a 10 mph roll. By the top of first I had about a fender and my pull stops as I grab second. By the top of second I have about a car and a half. I shut her down before the rev limiter in third and had about 5 cars on him and pulling pretty hard.

Good times.

R/Ts certainly are very nice cars but their weight kills their base performance.

Sounds about right. Even stock you'd have a couple cars on him.

Good kill.
