cam lt1 vs. cam ls1 *vids*
finally got to set up a couple runs with my buddy(fellow ls1 tech member) and his cam and bolt on lt1 formula and pit it against my cam bolt ls1 camaro.
Formula:M6, shorty headers with a full exhaust and some sort of cam and 1.6rr, 4.10 gears and nitto drag radials
camaro:M6, LT headers full exhaust through a flowmaster cat back and a CC224 cam and on street tires
Run 1
we honk it off he spins but gets traction in the middle of first I spin all of first and into second and end with him a car ahead
Run 2
we honk it off again and both fight traction issues in first (mine worse then his) I pull about a car length or so at the end.
all in all good races and I definitely need to put my DR's on so I can put my buddy in his place oh and don't mind the commentary from the camera man

Good death and good kill!
Anything can happen on the street.
I'm sure people wouldn't believe my bolt-on, geared, stalled LT1 beat a full exhaust, stock geared ls1 m6 z28 last night either but it most definitely happened

we actually tried it again today with me on drag radials but didn't really get a any great runs in, in one I bogged bad, the next he killed his car on the launch(don't know how) and the last he went early but his car is pretty mean off a dig

I saw a 1996 LT1 C4 run a 13.9 at 100 mph 100% stock when my C5 went 13.5 at 103 mph 100% stock. Both automatics. We raced a few times and it was pretty close
Not that much of a differance
Good Kill LT1

Outcome should be different. Its just fact that ls1's are much faster than lt1's. My friends hotcammed, lt header, full exhaust, k&n intake car couldn't keep up with my bolt-on camaro. I think you need to learn how to drive or somethin.

obviously you didn't read the part about the aforementioned street tires which in those videos I had on my car. Furthermore I'd like to see the turn out of that race between you and your freind if you were on street tires and he was on DR from a dig.......

I would get him because auto's are sooo easy to launch lol. Although it is more tricky with the big stall. You should have realled him in alot quicker. 0-30 should be even. 45+ the ls1's pull much much harder.
