Nice Runs ZYBORG, I think I have seen you around s. fl maybe even at some oof the local shows in boca? You have a nice c5 z for I'm in the deerfield beach area, who tuned your car? I'm doing an ls6 swap into my camaro soon and yours runs hard I'd love to have the same guy tune mine.

Why are you doing an ls6 swap? Do you mean swaping the whole motor or just the intake mani, cam and heads?

I belieave that his car jut has the mods he claims. tune intake and full exhaust.
The more I watch his vids the more I think its just really about him knowing his car well.
-on the third beep he slingshots out. Telling me he knows exacty what rpm to be at vs speed with that M12 trannie
-His gear changes are extremely crisp
-Lets face it he has atleaste 50 documented with video street runs just in the past few months. This guy knows his sweet spots
-Sometimes I think his car is just faster. As in the case with the mustang cobras. Ive always thought that a 420 rwhp C5Z06 would beat 500 rwhp cobras. The power to weight is near equal with the vette haveing vastly superior areodynamics and a fastly superior transmission. Again the M12 trannie is one of the most agressive trannies to ever leave GM. Bad for top speed but amazeing for everything else.
As far as the C6 Z06's. I think this guy finally pulled him by 2.5 cars after several races of only winning by a half of a car to 1.5 cars simply because he's getting better at driveing. If he gets another 100 street races under his belt and gets to Zyborgs level of proficiency we'll probally be looking at a 3 car lead.

Coming from an owner of a c5z with the same mods as zyborg, this makes the most sense. More so than you guessing that his z is putting down 420whp with bolt ons. He just knows how to drive that c5 and is consistent. The c6z on the other hand is a lot harder to shift faster with or powershift due to the higher revs.

He weights right around 3700lbs and he does have weight taken out.

its amazeing how just one guy with a video camera can bring a car back to life. Honestly with ZR1's or C6Z06's or even LS3 vettes no one has really cared about the c5Z's for a while...

His car HAS to be around that much power to be doing what he's been doing.
Another vid of him running door to door with a 510 HP Viper with an air intake.
You cant run lke that with a C6Z06 and 510 HP Viper with anything less than low 400's no matter how good you drive

I was supposed to race an Exotic today. At the last minute the guy got scared and used the old my brother just had a baby excuse. Everyone uses that one!

Once again, i agree.
I think what happened is for the longest time these cars were in posession of more reserved and careful owners that enjoyed their cars shinning in their garage. I seems that there is not a lot of documented footage of these cars hitting the streets.
That is what i try to do, provide footage of how strong these cars can be in everyday real world situations in the streets.
As far as dyno numbers the car made 396rwhp in 96* weather on a dynojet in SA and later with a new tune and on a 60-70* weather dynocom dyno it put down 429rwhp in S. FL (this later number is wrong, the dyno was giving out high numbers). No amount of cold weather and better tunning should have given me 30 extra rwhp.... The car realisticly is a 39X-40X RWHP car.
Why do guys take the stuff so seriously.... Just race and have fun.
