Default Finally!!! Ran into that Obnoxious Challenger *vid*

It seems that everytime i drive, i always seem to see the guy driving the **** out of his loud Challenger. It actually looks great. Its completely murdered out with some nice flat black stripes on the side.

So today i was picking up a few things from the store minding my business, and out of nowhere this **** blows my doors off doing 80+ in a city, and holy **** that thing sounded loud... pretty good actually.

I was in my 98 trans am at the time, so i said "**** it, this is my chance, win or lose!!! lol" and as soon as i saw him merger into a left turn lane, i immediately pulled behind him.

All of a sudden, seeing me in the rear view mirror, this guy just revves the crap out of the car for a good 5 seconds... well, i responded with my measly open cutout on my stock T/A exhaust

Ok so now to the good stuff.

We both turn on the yellow light and line up! Races were short, due to us being in the city and i didnt wanna pull no fast and the furious ****

Oh, we talked after the race and according to him his car is
2010 Challenger R/T 6 speed
Mods: Full exhaust, Headers, CAI

Me:
98 Trans Am A4 2.73 gears
Mods: Cutout on stock exhaust, Volant CAI and PTB

We did multiple runs with me ending up 1.5 cars ahead from 25 mph roll.
This is the only vid i could get ahold of without him "missing the 3rd gear"

Oh, and i didnt jump on that one, i nodded for him to take off if that matters
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpkphKoI89c

His excuse for loss "my car weighs 5000 lbs"
But he was impressed with how this race turned out

Next victim: 2010 infiniti G37S coupe 6 speed with some exhaust work done... Apparently thats his homie!! Its white with black stripe, it seems everyone does that color combo to their cars haha

The jump means everything on two cars close in speed, even a slight hit can allow a slower car to pull 1-2 lengths.
Not saying that is what happened, just letting you know.

^ The hit means a lot more than people think. Good kill, you should try and line something organized up with him...and get rid of those turd gears (but a converter would show better results).

Yeah the hit imo means a lot,its not hard to get a number and set up something on a clear highway, its just a safer way to do it

I make sure I at minimum leave at the same time, if not get a hair jump. Especially auto vs manual.

I don't Chase and ill be damned if I have to run someone down before they hit the brakes because they got the jump.

I have seen to many races where a hair jump results In a 2+ length difference.

Those cars are heavy as hell, I drive an 08 Charger R/T now and it is ridiculous how much the thing weighs... I think it weighs in right at 4200 lbs. They are fun to drive, but I always tell people that it won't win many races.

I was at the local 1/8 mile track (Dunn Benson Speedway) on Thursday night and a black Challenger RT ran a 9.1 at 81mph in the 1/8. Do not know the mods other than exhaust. It sounded great though! Regardless, I was not impressed with the run. If he had a bad run, I figured his ET would have been bad but I thought his trap would have been higher. I thought they had more than that or maybe it was just a bad driver (first time at the track?)

No the new SRT is. They upped the displacement and they are getting really good 1/4 times.

Good kill but ya man be careful around those residential streets like that. The 10-down srt 8 are heavy pigs and even at 425hp they dont move around too well I actually think I remember reading theyre pretty close to an fbody stock for stock the new one though is 475 hp but was throwing down 430 to the wheels stock on dynos... Sad though they are only trapping around 110 stock with all that power.

Looks like he checked up for some reason. Good kill though, you could hear his pipes as he was trying to makeup ground to no avail.
