Nice vids. Definately a knife to a gunfight but thats one sharp knife. lol. I'm sure with in the months to come we'll be seeing mid 12's with full bolt-on V6'....that is if it hasn't already been done.

Idonno man... Maybe this V6 is "maxxed out from the factory" like the 5L...

Agreed. A4 LS1's aren't exactly known to make crazy power with minimal mods

Yea maybe more realistic as an "average" number, but every car is different. I personally watched an A4 camaro with longtubes and a catback untuned put down 335 RWHP 3 runs in a row and they were off by like .5 HP every run. The car was real consistent, and I know longtubes add a bit, but the car still had the stock airbox and paper filter.

First one in the 12s was Procharged (there's YT vids of it). I wouldn't be surpised to see one with just X pipe, axleback, intake, throttle body, 93 tune and some tires (maybe a 3.73 or higher) hit 12s...basically just not headers. There seems to be a lot left in these cars and the traps are pretty healthy. If there was no 5.0 or this in a smaller, lighter car...I'd be very tempted to own one myself.

Most likely around 310 for this car with those mods, but there are some happier dynos that could spit out the 330 number. All that matter is it runs well.

Got some more runs in with the SS and another car today, turned out well. Videos will be up in a day or two, since they are GoPro and need to be chopped up.

That would be interesting to see. How do you think you'd do given how this one pulled?

Whatttt? It's only like a 3 or 4 hour drive, what's the big deal?

I think the mustang would trap about 103 or so I think hugger would have it covered pretty well. We haven't done any rolls with the stang, just because we figured the LS1 had it more than covered by how hard it came by, and that's only a ~106 car. It does really well from a dig, which is why that's all we've done.

I don't know if you remember it, but we ran this car against an LT1 not too long ago and did 4 digs there. The Mustang just ever so slightly pulls away up top, but it would make for a close roll race. We might have a rematch of that one later.

If you can make it from Chicago to St. Louis in 2 hours, you'd be doing some serious speed. It's at least 30 minutes from where I live to St. Louis, so you have 1 hour and 30 minutes to drive the rest. Google maps says like 5 hours. Good luck speedracer.

Nope! It's still hilarious to me, when I recall the THOUSANDS of naysayer comments starting even before the "new" 5L ever hit the streets. I had also read about a V6 in the 12's...

Well there are always thousands of opinions out there about ANY given topic, especially a new trend setting vehicle. The trend here being huge v6 na performance without high mpg, for affordable pricing; something hard to believe for some people even though Ford has never failed in the pricing and affordability category. I was one of those naysayers you mentioned , but not so much with regards to stock performance , but rather bolt on gains. I didn't really think simple bolt-ons would have done as much on the 5l as they do. I think a tune is really the secret ingredient in any new coyote setup though, especially the auto. It didn't seem that the new setup would yield huge gains from long tubes for example, but I don't know how that worked out for folks in the real world. Either way, badass cars for v6s but its only logical I guess to expect that after a few years there will eventually be better tech available to run with our artifacts. I mean one of these may very well have embarassed me in my old lt1 , but that wasn't possible 16 years ago, and that's what mattered Also, I know that I for one have a hard time believing some **** I read/see on the web and so am reluctant to believe initial reports as well. So yeah....there you have a bunch more useless data...

I wonder why Redfire never chimed in after I posted the videos from in the car? He swore it was more than 3...but never came back to defend that position??? Oh well, he probably knows the reason better than I do.
