my z28 vs buddies cobra
FINALLY raced my friend bruce who has a 99 cobra. Him and I have always been good friends and our cars were even matched on paper. Well we've been wanted to race for almost a year now and we just got around too it. I still haven't raced him from a dig yet. We did a 20, 70, and 80 roll i think. The only race i lost was me having a bad jump. He got the jump, but i soon started to pull on him but then traffic hit. Lucky bastard got a sneaky win

Bikes aerodynamics are a complete joke, they are like a brick. That combined with a lack of HP, makes high speeds very difficult for them. They still pull hard at 140, but not like they did at 55... Same for liter bikes, still pull insane, but not like they did at 55. Bikes are best from a dig-quarter mile. You want to race a bike that you think you can beat, minimum speed you should quit at is 120.
Also, if his bike is stock (or even close to it), he didn't touch 170mph. His bike tops out around 150-155mph (depending on his weight and conditions). 160mph might be attainable with an extremely lite rider and perfect conditions, that would surprise me though. His speedo is off, like every single other bike. At 55mph most bikes speedo is already off by 3-4 mph. Now, triple that speed...
Not trying to argue or anything... You said you didn't know anything about bikes so I'm informing you a bit!

Yes, it does... It may not look like it to a 300ish Rwhp car. But if you race one and give it a decent race.. It is going to jump out on you from say a 40mph roll and then by around 100 you will stop its pull... Around 130-140 you are coming around it and putting a couple on it.

thank you for the info! now whether his bike is stock or not idk... he said yeah i have a couple things but you could never tell and he just told me to put stock on the vid. but my z28 would get raped if i were to try and race him from a roll. esp with it being lower compression n/a. maybe if i had 80mm turbo on i'd give him a run for his money.

With a proper H/C 150 shot car you could have some fun with 600s. Hell, most you would rape cause of shitty riders. With a good rider it would be an interesting race but you would start pulling pretty good in the higher mph as mentioned.
He found my post amusing. I won't lie, I read the mod list... When someones mod list reads:
Forged 347
ported TB
It catches you off guard.

Even bolt ons he isn't hitting it. Owning a bike he should know that it is roughly 10mph off at those speeds.
