Your posting vids of the new ones. Im guessing ford has improved the 11 quit a bit because of the 5.0. I am talking about what was said by op. A 2010 and before years. I have seen them run and there is no way in ******* hell they are going to trap 120 mph stock even with tires. And with sticky tires they could see high 11's. Not low 11's.

didnt the gt500's go 12.4 to 12.5 stock qm before? a few diffrent magizines and tv shows had them at that i dont know about the brand new ones but the older ones sucked im not seeing a gt500 gaining 10 hp and going over a full secound quicker qm the next year with better tires and the same setup.

The 09 and before sucked. they had 40hp less then 2010. 50 less then the 11. and was a little heavier. OP also stated it was a 2010 GT500. Also you can tell a 2010 or 2011 form an older one cause they are different body styles. Can't tell 2010/2011 apart.
For what worth I raced a bone stock 2008 GT500 when i was cold air/tune/4.10/off road x pipe..From 50-140 i put 3 cars on him. Older guy and we ran 3 times. Each time was same. We talked to for a few and guy was shocked. Said he wished he would have bought a 5.0. He traded a 2009 GT for the 08 GT500. Then i made about same whp as him and i was lighter by least 400lbs.

If you believe every magazine out there then the ZO6 isnt capable of 10s stock. Or a 2010 SS will not run a 12 stock. Magazines have known to be way off a lot of times of what cars will run.
The 2010/2011 have different blocks, 10hp increase and 2011 about 200lbs light. Fastest stock well with tires i seen of a 2010 was 11.4's.

2011 has an aluminum block, and is lighter.
You may have meant this, but your post was a little confusing.

With the six-speed automatic, the Camaro SS can hit 60 mph in a scant 4.6 seconds, with the quarter-mile arriving in 13.1 at 109 mph. At 4.8 seconds, the Camaro with the six-speed manual takes 0.2 second longer to hit 60 but overtakes the automatic by the quarter-mile mark, clocking 13 seconds flat at 111 mph.
How do they run? Look out. With the automatic, the SS is actually the quickest off the line, gunning to 60 mph in a scalding 4.6 sec. The SS manual trails by a mere tenth, but from there its added 26 ponies pull it ahead, tripping the quarter-mile lights in just 13 sec flat at 111 mph. The manual SS also sports standard launch control, which allows the driver simply to floor the throttle and then dump the clutch, the engine computer handling all wheelspin and torque management. We found, however, that in skilled hands the car is quicker when human-launched. "This baby has launch control" is a great bragging line, though.

13.0 auto/13.1 manual..
So the auto is faster they say not the manual. I could do this all day. And these test was compared to the 2010 mustang GT
oh edmunds 13.1

At the test track, our Camaro SS roared from zero to 60 mph in 5 seconds flat en route to a 13.1-second quarter-mile at 109.4 mph -- a whopping 7 mph faster than the last Mustang GT we tested. On our slalom course, however, the Camaro swapped places with that 'Stang, snaking through at 65.8 mph to the Ford's 68.4. Braking performance was beyond reproach: Our Camaro's Brembo binders hauled it down from 60 mph in just 111 feet.

Motor trend C&D test of the GT500 one they went 12.4@117 and other was 12.3@115. More seat time better tires very believable it goes lower 11s with a trap of 120-124.
C&D 12.4@117 said these numbers ran right with a corvette Z51..And we know the vett will run faster then 12.3/12.4 stock with the right driver. It is all about 60ft and seat time.

Ohio I don't hate GT500s. A blown pony car is ok in my book from the factory. Hell if anything I am a 5.0 fox guy and I wrench, race and drive tons of Mustangs. But bolting on tires on a 09-10 GT500 will not net those kind of traps by a long shot. Thats a very misleading thing to post.

A lot of people think these cars are slow cause they seem some magazine say they ran 12.0-12.7. They don't realize these cars will blow the tires off the whole track, or even on a roll at 60mph and blew. They baby them in the magazine articles. leave at idle and feather the clutch the first 2 gears. Plenty of people have proved several magazines wrong in about every car. From 5.0/SS/ZO6/GT500 etc etc. I seen an article that had the ZO6 running 11.9-12.2s. Come on really.
The 2013 GT500 is set to have 600+hp. Plus also lighten it up even more. Saying maybe 3600ish lbs.

OhioBorn here is a 12.9 sec pass from a stock 2010 ss from Motortrend. They actually raced it against a 2010 Shelby GT500.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...son/index.html
Shelby = 12.8 @ 115.3
Camaro SS = 12.9 @ 110.7
Tires definitely hurt Gt500 performance! With a good tire they are much faster!
Also a 2010 Gt500 is capable of running very high 11s stock. MM&FF ran a stock one to an 11.9 bone stock on stock tires and thats with a iron block and 10 less HP than a 2011 Shelby. OhioBorn is right, a 2011 Shelby can run low 11s with tires at about 124 so i believe that video. Is it common, no. Is it possible, yes with a great driver and great weather conditions. There has been magazine tests that has an 2011 Gt500's trapping 118-120 bone stock and owners trapping 120-121 stock.
