2011 Maxima smoked...
A friend bought his brand new 2011 Maxima SE recently.
VQ35DE – 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine
290 hp @ 6,400 rpm
261 lb-ft of torque @ 4,400 rpm
All that and...I couldn't believe how slow the damn thing was. It got smoked...really, really bad. Did it twice, same result.
Then I raced another friend's Evo X. The car made 344awhp on 91 before it started having minor boost leaks. Long story short, we raced to 100mph, and he got about two cars ahead.
I'll upload the videos as soon as my buddy sends them to me.

Its all about power under the curve. Plus those maxima aren't exactly lightweights. Good kill OP and honorable death with that Evo you just never know what those have under the hood.

The fastest Maxima's are the one's about two generations ago, I believe '00-'03. I'm still waiting to race a Evo, a buddy of mine has a Evo 9 and I keep asking him to race but all he does is play COD lol. Good kill and honorable death OP.

haha yeah I didn't really wanna race the Maxima either. But he was there and...the Evo driver kept saying it'd be an awesome race until we were like "**** it, just for the hell of it"
Honorable death indeed...losing by 2 cars to a car that has 100hp more than I do is not that bad.
I'd race a 2011 V6 Mustang. Why not. It's 305hp afterall. Just 5hp less than the 4.6 guys I race. But when I do I'll put someone in it who knows how to drive. Unlike most of the guys I race.
He didn't boost brake, that's probably why it was only two cars. And we didn't do it off a dig, it was a 30 roll. He actually made over 400 at the wheels on E85.

You list your car as "Stock as ****" the proceed to list the mods....anyways.
I would not call Maximas slow. The have been 14.20 @100 in the quarter, and have 15 more hp at the engine than your lt1. You have more torque, I just don't see a major asswhoopin from your 13.9 car....I dunno, just saying
I AM NOT saying BS. Just dont believe that you beat him by more than 3 cars.
That is if your car is "Stock as ****" If you have the mods listed behind "Stock as ****", then I see you pulling pretty hard.
By the way, how stock is ****?

OP..nice kill!
I think the Maxima was an excellant race for you. It had a good amount of Hp and torque and on paper, not an easy kill for you.
If you think about it also, your mid 90's LT1 just kicked some *** on a vehicle with the latest technology. Impressive to me!

A stock(ish)6 speed LT1 vs a new Stang V6 is a good race. I see a auto equipped LT1 losing but a 6 speed is a good race. Drivers race, wow never thought I would say that about a V6 Stang or Camaro but it is what it is.
WHy that bashing anyway?
