And it didn't arrive in the US until 2008. Tuners didn't start working on the cars until then either.

2)The double HP statement was reguarding the GT-R. They said it was making 830ish, I would call that double and it ran 19 mph quicker than the stock ZR1.
A stock ZR1 makes 550whp which is not half the power the GT-R is making. The GT-R made 823rwhp on a 2wd dyno which they shortly reverted it back to AWD which made it lose more of that power. So for the run it was actually making more like 7XXawhp due to drivetrain loss.

As seen here:

Also really look at how much power it takes for a car, even our corvettes to do 200mph in the standing mile and you would be suprised. It takes some guys 800-900rwhp to hit those speeds with good traction.

3)You ask why I'm fixated on FI, well you obviously show you know nothing about the physics behind volumetric efficency.
You are comparing a lighter car with a bigger motor to a bigger car with a smaller motor. As far as the power adders you don't know the size of the turbos used. So whats so wrong with a 4000lb 6 cylinder car with two turbos getting a 9 pass? Its easy to make power and get good ETs with a car that weighs less than 3000lbs and displaces more than 6 liters.

4)Because the spec V was the fastest I could find. Which one should I have used ??
A 2012 perhaps. The Spec V wasn't the fastest GT-R there. It only makes 5hp over the 09-11 GT-Rs and has a little bit of weight reduction.

And I'm done.

The GT-R is a great car for being around for less then 5 years. They ared still just unlocking some of its full potential.

The Corvette has been around for how long to make it as good as it is. Same with the LS engine.

ZR1>GT-R>Z06. stock for stock.

Make them all equal power see what happens. Only way to see what is truly better.

Pretty much agree...as long as were are talking road courses. ZO6 still takes the GT-R in a straight line.

Thanks..Hey hitman, I was editting post 156 while you were typing. It my explain more. I'll bring some of it here.

A quote of mine back in post 156:"5)Sounds like your correct about the C6 ZO6 and the Nurburgring but just to set it straight, if you go back and read.....the argument was made about the ZR1 long before I showed up."

I think in a 1/4 mile it will be a drivers race between the Z06 and a 2012 GT-R. Using launch control gives a huge advantage to the GT-R. Plus the AWD and auto.
