FYI that hood IS FUGLY even if you finally save up money to paint it. it does not match the car at all. and 35mpg going down hill maybe lol

Not a LS or SBC engine at all. It's a V8 apparently, I was thinking diesel of some kind, like one of those horrible GM V8 diesels from the late 70's/ early 80's until I saw the distributor and plug wires. Got some electronics hidden in the cam valley under the intake so that aircleaner is hiding some kind of throttle body I assume. Kinda looks like a dodge small block but the water inlet is wrong. ??

The hood was all anyone had around that would fit over this tall *** engine. I had an engine, a perfect goodrinch motor. I had a roller camaro, rusty as hell. Put the two together and walla, complete car that you dont see everyday. The looks i get at stoplights, and the countless people that "run up at the pumps to try and stop me from ruining my car with wrong fuel" are funny. Worth every long hour. Plus it sounds like a nasty big block from behind lol.
Lose 7-10mpg but worth it every time you step on the gas.

Same here. 10 yrs navy (pacific). What really makes me shake my head is the amount of redneck racists the navy has in it: really, you are there to "see the world" and visit all these foreign ports... why join up if you think anybody who is not white is worth a ****? Isn't the National Guard or Reserves more there speed?

17 years in here and i cant wait to retire in 3 years becuase of the stuff you mentioned.....narrow minded, racist idiots are one of many reasons our military is going in the *******.....

Damn this thread was dug up from the grave lol. Hopefully my 3rd gen will at least improve some people attitude towards them being slow and beat.

Thanks man! Guess thats what 4 years and more money than I care to think about does to a 3rd gen lol.
I have custom lights in the garage that make the paint look perfect and orange. It's really a POS in person.
