He would have his hands full with a pullied cobra. If it runs good he would lose to one by a few cars.

Thats weak for a F1 car. I bet you would put up a good fight against it. If he is still a stock cubed car, then it would take a long time for that blower to make power.

No doubt, it's really weak for a F1...but that's what they typically make on a 4v Cobra motor. I'm not sure why really. It seems like the twin screws make more power at the same boost & same rpm, which is counter-intuitive really. That's probably why no one runs a centrifugal in a '03 Cobra. However, there are guys running YSi's and some larger centrifugals and their running the numbers they should (8's).

I know if I owned a 03/04 I'd have a K/B with spray or a turbo. Never been impressed with Whipple blowers compared to K/B.

I feel the opposite. I've never been impressed with kb's compared to whipples. I feel like every kb car I've seen makes less tq then a whipple with the same boost and set up. I also have seen people have issues with the kb's and needing to replace the seals

i knew a guy running 11.1x's in a KB cobra (it was actually an '01). the whine of a good KB setup sounds heavenly and demonic at the same time

Yeah I think "IF it runs good" is key Also, in his post, he actually wanted to know what a pullied cobra runs in the quarter? Any ideas?

With the same setup as the car i raced, my friend ran 11.4 @ 122 mph in his 03'. Another friend ran 12.0 @ 116 with just a cold air intake and catback. They are quick cars!

yea but we don't know if his car runs good.

They can run low 11s at 120-123 but thats the best. Most i've seen around here run low 12s at 116-118.

High 11's is very common though.

They are both good blowers...My buddies car makes 770rwhp with a whipple 3.4 and it doesnt even have the crusher. It should make 800rwhp sunday. Its still 281 cubes. Very impressive I think. Good kill OP!!! You need to a find a good running ported cobra or more importantly a very good driver. your car is strong.

that 800 would be 900+ if he had a 76mm. Probably for the same amount of money as he's sunk into the 3.4L kit.
