2001 WS6 vs. KB Cobra *HD Vids*

In the end it looked like a group of kids in the Mustang and the spoiler and side vent painted screams he has no idea what he is doing. Put that up against a LS1 with someone that knows how to shift.....kids lost before they started.

Not true. A 5.0 Cobra with a KB would not be anything to be scared of. Too many things could be here...just slapped the blower on with no tune, horrible combination, could be a 96-98 GT with a KB, maybe the driver had no idea what he was doing shifting, etc, etc.

The older Kenne Bell kits were horrible. I had one on my gen 1 Lightning and took it off a week later. Power increase was minimal. They have major heat issues along with no intercooler so boost has to be kept down. Side note I think this guy got rear-ended and picked up that terrible wing and a Cobra bumper

Does he do picnics on that bench? I totally agree with Stop Sign. Those 5.0s with a S/C just slapped on are probably a low to mid 300hp car with 6psi. The 5.0 Cobra isn't as big of a jump in power over a base GT compared to the 96+ Cobras with a 4V motor vs the 2V GT.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Yea, I was actually really dissapointed after running him. I thought it was going to be a door to door race after him telling me what his best time was at the track.
I really regret not asking exactly what was done, and talking more about his car. Like I said if he's there next week I'll try to get some more info and maybe a pic or two of the engine bay. As nice as the guy was it didn't really seem like he knew much.
I don't think the car was put together properly, and I don't think he was the best driver in the world either. I agree with you guys on pretty much everything said, that wing is hideous too!
And as far as the title, hey it got a lot of views right?
For the year of the car though, you guys agree that it is a 96-98? Just want to confirm before I change the info in the thread and videos.

A 96-98 2V GT with a blower is very slow, but a 94-95 Cobra with a Kenne Bell 1.7 is no rocket either.

I'd find out what motor is in it before determining what year it is. A ton of guys change out the tail lights, bumpers, etc, of the older Cobras for the newer style ones.

I know more a lot more about 99+ Mustangs than I do the years before that.
