Default 2001 WS6 vs. KB Cobra *HD Vids*

1995 Kenne Bell Cobra that is

Here's the story. I'm about to leave my local track tonight, and some of my buddies who ran this guy a few weeks ago are telling him to run me. Sure enough he walks over and we talk for a minute about our cars. We decide to drive down the street to Mexico and get a couple runs in.

His car:

1995 Mustang Cobra
-Kenne Bell @ 6lbs
-Some type of exhaust

I'm not sure if he had any other mods, I feel stupid now for not asking. He said he's gone a best of 13.0 @ 108 mph. And somebody please correct me if I'm wrong on the year of the Cobra.

My car:

2001 WS6 M6
-Lid/Catback

Both cars had one passenger on these runs.

1st Run - 2nd gear roll -Mustang leaves a bit late
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juR3DNEaEF4

2nd Run - 1st gear roll - Mustang jumps
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlOFz...el_video_title

Overall I had fun, and the guy was nice. Hopefully I'll see him at the track next week and get all the details on his car.

Enjoy!

good job banging those gears Rob.
Its good seeing someone that isn't sleeping through shifts.

Couple quick questions do you have the stock Hurst Shifter? or do you have an aftermarket MGW/ Pro 5.0?
And Stock clutch?

Thanks JT! I try my best.

As far as the shifter and clutch they're both stock. I do have a short stick though. In the near future I really want to upgrade the clutch and get an adj. master cylinder. A Pro 5.0 wouldn't hurt either.

Not a 95 unless he swapped out his tail lights to 96+ lights. 94-95 had horizontal lights and 96+ got vertical. I hgihly doubt it was even a cobra to be honest. A 4V witha kenne bell is at least 400hp, my guess is a 2v turd making mid to low 300s.

Imo it would be worse to drive a cobra with a kenne bell that got drug by a stock car and runs a best of mid 13s@sub 110. Fml

I wouldn't tell anyone that it was supercharged if that's how it performed!

+1 to bad Cobra R wing.

Good kill Rob. I told you that car was slow.

The owner doesn't have a clue. To make things worse he has a cage in that car lol. And last time I saw him he had slicks on the back. He's a failure lol

That wing looks like a cobra R wing. Regardless it doesnt look good at all. Could be a clone Mustang Cobra. As stated above with that much boost they are 400hp cars. Ive seen the Gt boosted with 8lbs and aftercooler and they run about 290-310rwhp give or take a little. A cobra meaning this one, even though has less boost should be atleast 400hp at the motor. Either way thats street racing and you never know whats going to happen.
