I've always ran ET Streets and this is the first time that I have encountered with them not hooking. My thinking is that my car might be hitting the tires too hard for them (4.56 gears and a stick shift).
What 60's are we talking? I'm stalled auto so don't hit the tires as hard, and was high 1.5xs dead hooking off the foot brake on BFG DRs. New combo will be TH350 w/ 8" ~4600 Treemaster and tranny brake but I was still thinking ET streets would be enough for a modest ~625-650 flywheel.

Low 1.4 60's would be nice.

Your IRS won't like the same tire as a solid axle/tq arm car.

I've seen some sick cars run ET streets with no problem so it could be differences in suspension settings. I'm still gonna try them lol.

That's what I have for the fox when it's done.
Waiting on the starter solenoid in the mail right now. Previous owner rigged up the wiring between that (there's not one there now) and the fuse panel/fuel pump relay so I'm throwing myself into the fire trying to solve electrical problems continuity testers erry-where!

No, I'm just saying it won't like the same tire due to drastically different suspension setup.

I've never dragged an IRS car, and have no plans to, so don't know what they like.

Save your money, unless you want to run them on the streets and the track.

I don't think they suck, I run them on my Cobra and they do great. I ran them on my Fox years ago and they did great, but it didn't have near this much power and didn't have as much gear as it does now.

On slicks, my car 60fts in the 1.3's, but the absolute best 60 ft I could get out of the ET Streets has been a 1.58...most were 1.7's and higher

So... You've never dragged one before?
If so, how do you know what it likes and doesn't like?

As heavy as the cobra is the ET Streets seem to be doing fine

Sounds like you already know which tire is gonna perform better on your car.

I'd sell my good nut to get a 1.3x 60ft. Lol

Stick cars should have a bias ply. As far as ET streets go, they worked great for me. Went a 1.45 60 ft on a 17 inch radial with 700 whp and stock springs and shocks.

Ouch, that's a huge difference. May skip the ET Streets and just run the QTPs. They are a proven tire on FBodies.

The ET street is the Bias ply

The ET street RADIAL which I'm guessing everyone is talking about is obviously a different title

Don't skirt the question. You've never raced one, so how do you magically know this?

I'm talking about the ET street bias tires. I never got mine to hook at the strip compared to the ET drags.
