You think I'm worried about 50-100k drag cars?

Many hardcore drag racers actually prefer the Foxbody over the 4th gen. There was a big thread on in drag racing section about this years ago. I destroyed my torque boxes on road race tires on the street on my fox. Also dinged my floor pan. Metal underneath there I swear is as thin as a coke can

They don't like to think about the tq boxes would rip out at bolt on ls power.

Drive a 12 SS. They changed the suspension and are alot of fun on back roads. Still big though.
My friends 13' 1LE is pretty sweet.. He has added Supercharger, long tubes, LS9 cam, wideband o2's, and a set of dynomax mufflers in the midpipe to quiet the car down. You can't even tell it has a supercharger on it, and almost quieter than stock. Sleeper status. Just put down 598rwhp.

Is anyone else surprised that the 5th Gens are coming on? 600 Hp heartbreaker.

Ya gotta love it.

You said fox bodies weren't that great of a drag platform and that fbodies are better. You're wrong and apparently clueless.

I can understand why. 4 link style suspension is popular and the fox is light. Guys are familiar with them and usually like to stick with what they are familiar with. That does not make them better as some would think. In a drag style platform you could argue no suspension is better.

I dig those alot. A set of z28 wheels on it and that thing would be super sweet.

now i'm back in shitty NJ, i really miss the mid 80 degree weather and being at the bar at 10am hahahaha
Wow… I'm backing through the thread. Did she say yes?

(If not… having read your recommendation… I'd like to put my name in the hat. She's the 3rd chick I've ever heard of that races her own car. And my bride and I had our 34th anniversary last night, took her out to a restaurant that is now in the same building that we first met… (Romantic, Right?) and … I got a lecture on how much I have spent on the Z. Not saying she's on waivers, but I'm waiting on your response… FINGERS CROSSED!)

They are..... I could give a **** less about 100k drag cars. They all work pretty well when they get to that point.

**** yeah! What's the downside to THAT? Evan's car is smokin' hot… he's got that bitch tuned up nicely and I expect Hio and him would be a great contest.

Is Lawnhead saying that there something nefarious about that?

Look… I can see that you'd like to save face here and I'd love to help ya out.

But I recently did this whole schmear with a douche, very much like yourself and it turns out to be a waste of time and energy. While you people seem to like the idea of racing, ya don't actually 'race', per se.

It's a very simple calculation and doesn't require a lot of effort to sum.

You posted a statement running down my car.

I merely pointed out that IF you truly felt that way, you'd have no trouble accepting my invitation which sets YOUR CAR in a wager against the car which YOU claimed was slower than your car.

You then summarily opted to NOT take that wager.

That proves in irrefutable terms that when you made your claim, you KNEW (or certainly should have known…) that you were full of ****.

>That's all I was out to prove… and that's been done.<

Now unless and until you find your *** staged up on Immokalee Regional Raceway, having accepted the wager… there's nothing I can do to help with this.

It's not a big deal… doesn't require a lot commentary, but if ya can't resist the need to do so, I will understand.

Yeah… I expect that it's a fairly unique drag platform that doesn't work despite the owner spending a hundred grand to make it work.
