Ahh gotcha. I didn't know your truck had that many miles! Thought it was a bit lower than that.

You should be fine as long as it is well maintained. Wouldn't hurt to pull them off and double check sometime if you don't mind the down time.

Definitely will its probably a good time to replace things like lifters, valve springs, rockers etc.... just to be on the safe side.

Hey i forgot to add LS7 lifters to my mod list sorry but i honestly dont think that would change anything. I made a thread on it as well it was late 2012 when i made my mod thread. What do you have done to your car? I know your lighter than me and i don't care. Your shooting for 12.8 and im just hoping to get out of the 13s range. Ill be happy with low 12s honestly but **** happens

Durring the summer i would like to go to Atlanta and run the 1/4 mile. If anyone else wants to join that would be cool. Talk some smack, race, then beers? Idk about anyone else but with my job i usually have to ask well in advance.

I made 324/341 with only the free ram air mod but since the ls6 cam adds nothing according to people I figured I would see a small gain at least.

12.8 was sort of a facetious statement, bickering with HiO. I told Lawhead if I run 12.8s as my best then I'm ghost riding it into an oncoming train. I'm sure I'll run a 12.8 and a 13.5 when I blow the tires off twice in a row, but I've never driven the car with this cam, or this setup period, that coupled with the fact that it will be lighter than any car I've had, it's gonna take some "feeling out" to find out the sweet spot for the launch. With it dialed in, I'm aiming for 11.something.

MAC, i've never heard of our trucks having head issues. The biggest thing i've read were the intake manifold gaskets causing lean issues in both banks (its the battle i'm fighting now) although i just cleared my codes and just got my truck inspected this morning. The head should be fine IMO. I have 150k on my 4.8 5spd. I wanna put headers on the damn thing to make it sound cool lol

Mac, you should be pushing for more than getting out of the 13s with a 400rwhp car

How many excuses did I count in that?

Contrary to popular belief, it does take a few runs to get a car dialed in. That is why I LOL when some local guys have talked smack about my old bolt-on LT1 running a 13 flat the first pass and first trip to a 1/4 strip.

You guys and your 4 wheelers...

I honestly hope every single one of them doing wheelies eats ****. Natural selection is a beautiful thing.

Just in case any of you miss the State of the Union tonight - here is a brief summary for you.

1. It's everyone else's fault, especially Tea Party Terrorists.

2. We are going to have so many programs that'll do nothing but be paid with the tears of the next generation's lost opportunities.

3. Obamacare is the greatest thing since the birth of the nation and has insured 3x the entire population of the U.S.

4. We need to reject every compelling theory of economics and start talking about minimum wage laws again

There you go, for the guys who are bored

Gateway opens in March I am pretty sure. I've never raced anywhere else because I'm pretty sure the next closest 1/4 mile track is 4-5 hours.

Normally you have to go to an aquarium to see that many squids in one place.
