Hopefully we can actually start some flamming flipped through a few pages and it seems like its pretty clam in here unlike postings where the title reads Z28 KILLS 5.0 and rapes it up the *******, gives it stitches in the process.

The almighty 5.0 motor is nothing amazing that everyone makes it out to be. The weight of the new stang and the aggressive gearing in the trans is why they are running the times they "claim" to run. The motor is like any other ordinary motor except its a hassle and a half to do anything on.

Thats why we have seen countless storys of them losing from rolls

 

Really its cause roll racing is for the gays.

The 5.0 is impressive for the fact the power they got out of it so far N/A with no stroking or anything. Specially causeits only 5.0L.

I will agree the weight and gears of the rear end and tranny help it out a lot. Its hp:weight is just simply better then the other two.

And we don't claim these times we run them. So **** your self.

 

Its power that the ls3 is putting down as well though. Yea its a 5.0 but it has 4 cams and heads that iI am sure flow a hell of a lot then the ls3 heads. Power is all about air fuel and spark so with the less cubes the 5.0 has it makes it up with the other **** which is why the motor its self is nothing special... at all

 

From my experience, roll racing is also for people that don't want to break their ****. Not everybody can afford expensive as **** rears.


I don't care how big my engine is, just as long as it meets my requirements for fitment, weight, and power.

 

Gotta pay to play I also think a lot of people don't race from a dig is cause they can't drive worth a ****. Its like pulling teeth around here to get someone to dig race. Can't tell you how many 2v and 3v stangs will blow lights to not stop next to me at the light.

4 Cams or 1.2L more. It don't mater. The Camaro it's self is not running times it shoudl for the power some are making. Look at the camaro times here. Compare to the mustang. The 5.0 is making the same hp per mods as the ls3 in the camaro's. GM could have put better heads and intake on from the dealer. But they didn't. They rushed to get the camaro out while ford laid back and waited then said here you go. Same thing they just did with teh ZL1. GM said here is our 550hp Camaro. Ford said sweet here is our 2013 600hp+ GT500.

One issue i seen with 5th gen is people are buying them making huge power with blowers etc and not running them. Or they are old guys women who don't want to run them. They think a cat back makes them unbeatable. I know a bunch 5th gen owners who think they can beat every 5.0/SRT8 there is. Hell few of them think can beat every F body/Cobra as well. Seen it in person.

 

There's no proof of a 600hp+ GT500 yet. All rumors so far from what I've seen.

They better up the power though since the heavier CTS-V is already quicker.

 

sounds like vette guys (older that is) i've also heard that they think doing any mods is instant damnation.

ZFreie....I would stop at a light with you in the wifes 2v. I might get beatbut who cares. Like I always say there's always a faster car out there and if you win every race, you would never have to mod.
