Do it. Look for an '06+; those have the revised cluster, a tach, and an hour meter. Watch out for slipping converters and bad alternator pulleys.

I think this is the way I will go. I was looking at buying another G-body Regal for a daily at school, but there does not seem to be many available for me. I kind of want a more modern car anyways. Later on down the road, I can always build a killer turbo 2v 3

Different intake manifold and I believe the intake cams were different...but yeah they're pretty much the same *****.

93-98 Mark VIII blocks are Teksid, same as 96-98 Cobras (and some 99s), which is what I was referring to. 93-95 Mark VIIIs have different side bolt holes (jackscrews) than later years.

A few guys on the department have them and seem to like them. I've seen what my friends do while on duty to those damn things so I wouldn't own one but that's just me. haha

Loved my crown vic. Was sad when my department went to the gutless V6 chargers. I got in 3 wrecks with that thing and didn't get seriously hurt once. They are tanks. Watch out for exhaust leaks bad front suspension and slipping converter.
