**** this thread sucks ***. I've PMed Jay about it.
PM me what you'd want on the 4l80e and some info..
There's a local Lq4 engine that has 36k or so on it, guy wants $700. Oil pan and intake are trashed but otherwise says it is good. Since I'm planning a 408, all I really need is the block and heads...but on that note, I could buy this, stud it, and run it for a while and save a bit of cash up and build when it blows/when I'm ready instead.

Makes about as much sense as cam only.
Both can be a drastic change, so you are wrong.
You'd look good in a cavalier.

Wrong. A blower only forces air into your engine, that's it. A camshaft is essentially the "brain" of an engine. If you swap out a cam for a different cam, you are practically changing everything about that engine.

A blower changes the effective displacement of an engine. A cam doesn't.

So you are saying a cam is greater than FI? Lol gtfo a Supercharger changes everything about the engine. Hell turbos do to. Some engines run more efficient with turbos than with out. Forcing more air into the engine causes a lot more stress on the engine than any cam would be able to. A fair comparison would be cam swap vs cam swap not cam swap vs blower swap.

A blower does not change the dynamic compression of a motor. A cam does.
Do you think compression (whether it's static or dynamic) is a critical part of the motor? Be honest.
