Apologize for the novel, but I got it for right around $11k "on the water" with the jet ski, trailer, cover, a couple life jackets, and a 4 year warranty (standard is 1), and all of the financing fees, numbers, etc. etc. etc.
With my credit, was able to finance it at 5.49% for 84 months (made no sense to buy in cash as I make more than that with my investments) and only putting $1,100 down (~10%), payments are only $138.26/mo. Definitely affordable and top speed should be right around 62-65mph (more than enough IMO on the water with lots of boaters up here)
Rode it for about an hour today before the weather turned sour. 160hp and has a lot of low and mid range torque - just wants to keep going and going. 0-30 in 2 seconds. I didn't hammer on it too hard because it is brand new. I like how it sits closer to the water than it's competitors and the composite hull still provides a forgiving ride but allows you to have a lot of fun when you want it and the wheel is designed to make it easy to stand up if you want to. Most power in it's class and most storage in it's class.
All skis are marked up a little bit over here and I was able to talk them down to $2,000 less than the 2012 Seadoo GTI SE155 (its nearest competitor sold out here). While I think the Seadoo looks a bit better with the black and sunset color, I wasn't going to pay $2k more for a slower unit, a more complex cooling system, poor reliability ratings, and poor customer service at the dealer that sells them out here

We'll see if I get bored with this. If I do, I'll likely just pay it off even faster and purchase an Ultra 300 or something similar

I would think with a good set of tires and steep gears the difference would be minimized. Although it's a death trap running awd cars from a dig in most scenarios. Get them to roll race like what happened here and things even out a little.

There are some real Plasti-Dip artists on there
I've tried it, it's some bad *** **** for sure.
