They are no where near the best hooking tire but they are about the best you are going to get for a daily driver drag radial.

Me taking my GTO down the track with a junkyard 6.0 in it. Stock junk iron shortblock with junk lq9 heads, ls6 cam, ls6 intake, longtubes, cut outs, 3500 converter, drag radials. Car didnt make **** for power. Car would have been faster with an aluminium ls1 in it. Car made about 70whp less then my current car does...and was heavier, with much less gear

Please tell me how a mach 1 is faster mod for mod???

I'm probably going to go back to these. Went to a nt05r and it seems about like the exact same traction to me as the 555r gave me and the 555r's last much longer.

Oh and No. Just no.

Hopefully that GT500 don't get low on coolant, cuz lord knows you couldn't figure out how to take care of that terrible overheating problem. Please prove me wrong with your 10 second Mach1 though, oh wait.....

They trap on average 111-113 stock from what I have seen firsthand... They need tires from the factory. GTO's (M6) trap usually between 107-109 with a few going 110-111. So maybe 3 MPH and a couple tenths faster. Not "way" faster. The 07-09 GT500 was a huge dissapointment until you start modding it. I've owned 2 GTO's, an auto LS1 and a manual LS2, they don't deserve the bad rep they get consistently for being slow. Lots of people can't drive them.

Just going to work everyday I know people can't drive. At least it's not like my old job where I was in a car for 12 hours a day though

Thats where ill disagree with you a bit. If we are going to count the best case scenario for a driven ls2 GTO being 110-111... then we have to do the same for the GT500. Cant compare the bad running GT500s to the good running GTOs. If the stock ls2 GTO runs 111, then the stock GT500 does 116-117. My buddy can drive his GT500 and he has gone 11.6 at 121 with a tune/air intake 08 gt500 on NO tire.

I've never seen one in person trap over 113 when it was stock. And I did say between 107-109 for the GTO.

I'm just saying, the 2 cars are closer than he is implying.

I have spent the morning at work so far laughing at the guys who tried to tell me that it was "destiny" for ND to win. **** them, they were way overrated. The real NC game was UGA Bama. I was very dissapointed in my Gators although they would have made it more of a game than Notre Dame did at least VS bama.

I hate the tide, but I am glad they beat them so badly

Well lets see...from the sound of it you started with a short block, put heads, cam, intake, longtubes, cutout (cutouts? so it had duals), a stall, and a tire.

I'm pretty sure with all above mods I could get a Mach 1 to go faster. But not taking anything away from you, ran decent.

So let me get this straight, if I have a lt1 short block, and put lt1 heads and an lt1 cam in it, it had heads and cam? ****, guess everyone is wasting their money on heads and cam that actually increase power.

Mustang owners....
