My '97 Saturn is an awesome DD. Paid $1100 for it and have only had to replace front brakes so far.

178,000 miles and I still average 38-42 mpg.

both. my original donor for a project truck was my gmc s-15 5spd 2.5L iron duke manual brakes and steering. ran like a champ.

my other one is a 93 2.8L v6 5 spd power everything. both are awesome trucks and both got over 24mpgs.

I've rocked S10 and Rangers in the past... the winter was a bitch... I never could get enough weight in the back. Never had any major issues with any of them though. IIRC

Conditions were:
around 62°F, +221ft DA
Track is about 30ft above sea level

Best pass:
60'.......1.615
330'.....4.573
1/8......7.004
Mph....100.55
1000....9.108
1/4......10.875
Mph....131.46

2nd best:
60'.......1.605
330'.....4.569
1/8......7.003
Mph....100.25
1000....9.111
1/4......10.881
Mph....131.18

The first two passes the car bogged on the launch resulting in a 11.16@129.89 and 11.09@129.91. The clutch began acting up after the second 10.8 run so on my 5th pass at about the 330' mark I coasted and called it a night. Let the car cool down a bit before the trip home and clutch seems OK for now.

My very next mod will be a stronger clutch!

EDIT: Also let me add the blower was iced down before runs.

My Las Vegas client just told me they want to extend my contract to the end of the year again. What started off as a 3 month contract has been 3 years and 1 month so far.

My last beater DD was a Saturn. LoL, I would have to add a quart of oil every time I filled up the gas tank. I kept a case of cheap oil in the trunk.

So after all that **** talking to me in MPM's about how they go mid 10's stock and low 10's with tire only. How you was going to beat me you would can't. I trap higher and run faster ET.

For real though nice going for first time to track with it. And even on a tire not bad. Sucks about the clutch. But its part of racing. And least you took to the track to run it.
