Second was a good run.
Right now just stock motor, cams, injectors. 61mm turbo. Approx 14 lbs boost. Dyno 350hp
Just picked it up from and old customer. Still running through it. Got a new turbo, injectors, cams, etc to install.
And yeah def gonna change the exhaust... Good run. Nice cts

Give the guy a break. If it were me running him and he wasn't running at full potential the first race, then I wouldn't want to claim a win. Just saying. Not like the guy is trolling it up, the op would have called bs on him right away.

I assumed trubo spool. was a little less the second time... Once up on boost his car was back to even with me pretty quick and if he had taller gearing he would have passed me for sure. I could tell when he shifted and kept having to wait for power..
Now its headers(just ordered) and then later this year Z06 clutch/flywheel(ditch teh 50-60lbs stock flywheel).... should be a bit more potent like that..
God dayum money pits!

went to Road America last weekend for the June Sprints and there was a CTS-V that stayed pretty well in the thick of it's class (loaded with 'vettes, camaros, Mustangs and so on). Only big issue with the caddy was brakes. That thing was HARD on its brakes and had to be bleed out after every race. But on the straights, it was a blast to watch. There was also a 350Z that struck me as the sleeper of the crowd - not a lot of flashy graphics or even a very loud exhaust, but it always did well in its group (top third at least, with I think one win during qualifying).
Good races guys. Keep 'em coming.

yeah try 1991 toyota sedan. running a single turbo and near 500whp... scary fast. Only reason i didnt stop in disbelief was I saw him at the show with his hood popped and noticed the engine/turbo. Was still not expecting to lose that bad.... Time for headers/heads/cam/intake mani and a tune soon...
Anyone wanna give me some money!?

Anyways, nice races and nice to see drivers getting along and not flairing up BS excuses and smack talking. 300ZX is an awesome, desirable car and certainly a classic of a Nissan. As far as the CTS-V, how can you go wrong with that? Winning or loosing a race, at the end of the day your still driving a CTS-V. And thats a good thing.

I see, thanks for the explanation. I for sure wasn't being a smartass, I was only wondering why you mentioned the first race didn't count. Understood.
willizm, as I mentioned above, I wasn't calling any type of BS on the guy when he said the first race didn't count. I was only curious why or how.

Sometimes I don't think it's right for some members to jump on others that are just sharing their side of the story. Lots of threads get ruined that way. Not saying you were, but you know how some of those threads get in this section.

BTW you can add a chipped 335i(the twin turbo one before the single was introduced) to my FAIL column... Just a chip and I assume some exhaust work(resonators ermoved according to driver) and I got walked.
