To Ohio I only have 1/8 mile times boltons and tire only. It was a 8.37 @ 84.xx mph 60' 1.9 with da ~ 2000 not sure exactly but it was in that range. I have yet to go to the track since the spray and cam. It's been closed for a while those AL twisters messed it up. I heard it will be opening up next month though.

I think the GTO is in the 420ish range. I'm not exactly sure but I believe he said it was 419 or 429 can't remember.

Sounds about right for the mods..My car was 422rwhp with cam, longtubes, lpe cai, udp, and stock cat back..I picked up 31rwhp with a unported fast 92,vararam cai,and corsa sport cat back.

Yep, and they would be right. My brother made 414rwhp/400rwtq tune, cold air intake, and axleback with a stock midpipe. Thats a good run for a cammed fbody all day long.

We ran before he touched the car and it was dead even, after the tune and me on motor he pulled 2.5-3 cars and walking.

I'm glad none of the stated internet times ever apply where I live and race. Best I've seen out of the new Camaros and Stangs are mid 13's.

You dare to defend the new 5.0 on this website?! A box of angry monkeys has been mailed to your house and are sure to make you rue the day.

lol, and the only reason i do is because i have seen it first hand....not '"heard" about it like 99% of the other people who claim **** lol. i drove the car stock, and just with the three small mods he did and the car is totally different, pretty badass power for a tune, intake, and mufflers.

I will agree that the tune does great things for the 5.0. Some have seen 20-30whp with a tune alone.

The cold air is a huge debate. Some claim great things and other have seen jack out of it for track times. Hard to tell since all but 1 cold air have to have a tune with it.

The mufflers are worth no HP. Proven a billion times on the dyno and track. Only thing you gain is about 20lbs weight loss.

Everyone knows that youtube videos trump first hand experience every time

In all seriousness though, the newer cars seem to be gaining more with basic mods, which goes against what people thought would happen as the technology gets better and cars make more and more horsepower right off the showroom floor. For all the bad going on right now, it's a great time to be a horsepower enthusiast!

Dyno racing FTW!! I made XXX rwhp so I run XX.XX @ XXX.XX MPH just like a XXXX does.

Point being all dynos read different and all cars respond to things differently. I have dynoed on one dyno and made 665 rwhp and the next dyno a week later it made 630 rwhp. Same time of year and both dynojets. Dynos are tuning tools not I made ______ so I run ______ tools.

Wait now hold up son. A 3800lb Gto with 420rwhp beat a 3600lb 5.0 with supposedly 400+rwhp stock? Something is not right here. Either the new 5.0 is not what its cracked up to be or the driver is a **** kicker, especially after seeing the *** raping on that video.
+1 for over weight GM cars
