Cool C5 Vette vs. Evo X

Trying to convince him to do a dig with me but a first gear roll will suffice, I guess.

Nice runs..You would think he be down for a dig run. Also he needs to learn to brake boost. It might not gave him win but it would have helped him.

I'm gonna try to get him to do a dig. I deadhook on the street

Brake boosting in 1st sounds scary lol. I used to have an Evo VIII and I never did that. The stock turbo spooled almost instantly. I only brake boosted in 2nd or higher.

Me too! Day races are always better. I find them to be safer, too, because we can see if there is any law enforcement around and we can make sure there's nothing in the road, odd traffic, pedestrians, etc. Plus the footage comes out much better.

iPhone4 = best race cam ever!

Nice runs. That evo stayed with you pretty good. That torque converter really helped you get out front quick!

Yeah the Evo moves nicely. I don't know how much power I make, but I estimate somewhere around 330whp considering it isn't really tuned (added a drop of timing).

I need to get it tuned properly

At what mph does your converter lock up? When I had mine tuned I had it changed to lockup at 50mph which made it so much funner. Stock tune it would lockup around 35-40mph

Daily driving, it locks up around 45mph.

Nice kill! Your C5 sounds pretty nice That Evo was quick though, I was surprised. Get a tune and make that distance even further. Day vids are ftw too!

why does the vid say you got I/H/E? They trying to make themselves feel better about losing to a C5 by lying about the mods it's got?

Nice video though, and good runs. That vette should be a solid mid 12 setup I'm guessing?

I made the video lol. It has an intake (lid, i guess. Stock manifold), headers, and an exhaust, 3600 stall, 3.42s. The mod lists are right. He's one of my good friends.

headers are listed as "LT" for long tube (if you got anything but long tubes it's not worth listing as a mod). In which case your setup would be considered a full bolton setup. Some guys consider a LS6 intake and bigger TB a bolton mod but I think that's skirting the boundaries myself.

I/H/E is, and has always been, intake/headers/exhaust. You're the only one that seems a bit confused. I know H/C/I is heads, cam, intake, but i/h/e has been around awhile from what I've seen.

To clarify, I have a lid, headers, and an exhaust as my boltons.

Most guys just don't put H for headers, that's more of an import thing. I think most of us got the point that you didn't do intake/heads/exhaust. But yeah, longtubes is used more than H for headers.

From now on, I'll put LT instead of H for clarity's sake.
