Ok... so he'll be running mid 11s when he gets more practice/better conditions. The REST of my post (which you ignored) is still quite valid.

What I find funny is a good bolt-on ls1 fbody will run similar times.

How in the world did the LS1 make 61 Less rwhp and 13 Less rwtq, but it ran nearly side by side with your car.

Didn't one with a cam and stall run slower at the same time and track when he ran his car?

I have know idea what that guys setup was. I'm just lookin at the bolt-on times that's similar. Don't get me wrong, I think the new 5.0 has the edge....mostly because of the way the tranny is geared.

Honestly, I think the 4th Gens have the advantage of weight.

Correct me it I'm wrong, but aren't 4th Gens around 3400 lbs. & the 2011 Mustangs around 3600 lbs. ?

I'm not disagreeing with you about gearing; I can't recall a pony car with the gearing set up as good as the 2011 Mustang.

4th gens may have a bit of a weight advantage (mine weighed 3430 stock).....but ls1's make 100 rwhp less to the wheels with bolt-ons.

Weight, gearing, auto vs manual(a manual ls1 would have dynoed higher, and the stall hurts it even more), different dynos, tq curve. Take your pick. Ohio had a 4mph higher trap speed so obviously his car is making more power. And when they ran at the track he was making 445ish not 464 I believe.

It depends on the weight of your current wheels.

When ran the car it was 448whp. His best was 11.91 his fastest trap was 115. Mine was 11.80 and trap of 118. Shows my car has more in it. I just need more seat time. This was first rime with the car at the track in almost 7 months. On a completely new setup.

Work in progress's car is cammed. Weighed about same if remember right.

As far as times look what my car corrected down to. It shows what better air would do. Also I this Friday air might be worse. It gas been over 100 every day. But I have been driving a lot so hopefully it helps.

most if not all stock internal cars are running 11's in very low DA's. Most are run in negative DA's. If my car was setup like the stock internal cars mentioned it would run much lower 11's in this crappy air. Ohio's car does not run the numbers I have seen from other 5.0's mostly due to those being stalled autos. I have seen them with lighter mods run 11.3x's. Ohio, I look forward to running you again in January.

Ya Kris's car seems to be the car everyone talks about at SAR. Stalled auto, tune no headers, cold air with DA 300 ran 11.3.

Look forward to it my self. I should have it figured out by then and I think your car will run great with some cool weather. Maybe hit Pat G up as well. Let him get every last hp out of it. Hopefully I am cammed by then. That or the wife will have a stalled auto.

If I remember correctly, he already ran in the 11s with just a tune/DRs in better DA. I'd be willing to bet that with more seat time and in better DA, he could cut half a second off the times he just ran. But we have a few months before that's gonna happen.

Tune, cold air, same tires and gears ran a 11.88 with a DA of 300
