I just went back and read the latest additions to that thread since yesterday.
I thought the reading comprehension skills were bad on here...

Apparently stock 08 gt's can beat 6.1 hemis too all the time according to that forum so i guess ls2's are 08 gt prey as well.

 

I can understand misspelling big words, I'm not the best speller, but things like U and R like come on people, its 2 more keystrokes...and to solve misspellings, get a different browser that has a built in spell check lol

People never fail to amaze me lol

 

I don't understand why people get whipped up into a frenzy over the smallest things.

Ohhhhhh otey gotcha. I guess i just envisioned FORDs idea behind the Cobra was to take on the Corvette, but i guess I had mistaken. Then again it could just be a matter of opinion.

 

In this instance I am, but it happens on every forum that I've seen.

 

Why? I mean I understand where you are coming from...the V6 Mustang with a V8 and supercharger ran with the best GM had to offer but it in no way was designed to do that. I think this is why you always see 03 Cobras being compared to the Z06...GM really had nothing close to compare it to.

 

I totally agree with you Stopsign32v. I saw the Motor Trend comparison between the 2002 SS Camaro and the 2001 Cobra and they said the 2001 cobra ran a 13.8 in the 1/4 mile. So i guess you would expect a newer car to be faster right?

What does a 03 cobra weigh? I have read anywhere from 3400-3700lbs..

 

There was a car and driver video on youtube a long time ago were they first tested the 2003 mustang cobra convertible and coupe and at the end of it they said they are trying to go after the vettes with the cobra's. Ofcourse at that time they were C5 Vettes but i thought thats what they said. Im trying to find the vette but no luck.

 

I would say a good guess is 3400 to 3700lbs

 

OH! So Car and Driver spoke for Ford on a video? It must be true...Ford built a Corvette killer.

 

The only mustang I know of that was likely shooting for the corvette was the 2000 Cobra R.

 

And it made the Corvette look stupid

 

Then why havent they raced them in a series??? I know GM uses the C6R race cars to test all there new ideas on before they hit production line. guess the old race on sunday, sell on monday mentality disappeared

 

It very well could be a matter of opinion. John Coletti stated in a interview something to the effect that the Terminator got it's name because it was going to terminate the Camero.
He did say it with a laugh in a joking way; him and Jon Moss was always taking jabs at each other.
