99 SS vs 00 Z-28 vs 96 Cobra

Good kills OP!
Those SN95 5.0's were poop without some real modding. My '94 Cobra was good for high 14's on a good day. I remember when I did my H/C swap and getting drug by bolt-on LS1's. LOL

That would be a 5.0 Cobra you raced. And unless he knows what he is doing with a setup, a bolt on LS1 will be more than he can handle. When I had HCI (AFR165s, custom cam, Performer intake) my car made 328rwhp and I could handle any bolt on LS1 I ever ran into (not by much might I add). Most HCI setups do good to make between 270-300rwhp though and IMO will be right next to a bolt on LS1 or slightly lose to one.

My car had Track Heat intake w/ AFM cam, and TW 170 heads. All the supporting mods; 75mm TB, AFM power pipe, Pro-M 77, MAC Eq-length shorty's, yada yada. Made ~310/330 on a dynojet. This was in a basic option '94 Cobra w/ cloth seats and spoiler delete. And yes I was getting walked by majority of the full bolt-on LS1's around my circle.

TFS High Port heads
Performer RPMII intake ported
Jay Allen custom cam
4.10s
That would be a quick 5.0!

Agreed. My combo was definitely a thing of the past. TFS high ports with an RPM II and the right intake would be major step up I think.
